Hello, and I hope you are having a wonderful day! πŸŒžπŸŒ›

If you are, then I'm happy for you! If you aren't, then I'm here for you. β˜•

I know times are tough right now, but I promise things will get better, and I will be here for anyone if you need it. And please don't be afraid to reach out; this is a judgement-free zone for all of us to grow. 🌱

Please approach me for support at any time, and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Please remember that no matter who you are, I genuinely wish nothing but the best for you! πŸ’ž

Love,
The Good Fairy πŸ‘ΈπŸ½

P.S.Β  I am a survivor of s*xual assault.Β  If you identify with this, please come talk to me and I will 100% empathise and be here for you.Β  However, I have gotten quite a few members coming to me to talk about the act of s*x and an addiction to it; please understand that I am both inexperienced in and triggered by that line of conversation.Β  So as much as I wish for you to get the support you need, if the conversation goes down that line of thought, I think another listener can do more for you than I can.Β  Thank you for understanding.

Bouncing Back from a Bad Grade

...See more Hello, lovelies! I recently fared far worse on a test than I had hoped, so I figured I would talk about bouncing back from a bad grade. I think we all, or at least most of us, have experienced studying for a test only to find that we did not do as well as we hoped. And that is okay, because these mistakes help us learn better! Actually, it is better if you have this problem early on, because it gives you more time to learn and make up for it. So, without further ado, let us talk about the process of bouncing back! (1) Accept the result 🧾! A lot of us students, myself included, stress out a lot when we see a poor score on our paper. While this is a natural and perfectly understandable response, it is not helpful to us in the slightest. Instead, try to calm down and see what can be done to prevent these feelings of distress in the future. (2) Get organized πŸ“š! An organized study system can do wonders for your grades; this is tried and true. Though your study system is unique to what is effective for you, make sure you are remembering when assessments are and how you plan to space out your preparation. (3) Talk to your teachers 🍎! Remember, your teachers are here for you, and they (should) want you to succeed. If you are struggling in a class, maybe ask them for extra help. If it is just one test that you bombed (like me), then maybe ask them to review the concept or just ask how you can improve. (4) Try a different method of studying πŸ““! Maybe the reason this test didn't go so well in spite of the hard work you put in is just because the way you studied just wasn't effective for you. There are tons of different ways to take notes and to study them! (I can, and probably will, do another post on just that.) Try to find one that works better for you. (5) Set realistic goals βœ…! Improvement comes in baby steps. If your average grade is a B, then it is reasonable to aim for an A with your next assessment. If your average grade is a D, then an A might feel unattainable and you may lose motivation quickly. Instead, why not aim for a B? And then, once you get there, aim for the A! Set goals that are in reach, and then slowly but surely, you will climb higher! Have you bounced back from a bad grade before? What did you do, and how did it go? Love, πŸ’œ Fairy πŸ’œ

School Motivation: Studio Ghibli Style :3

...See more Hello, beautiful humans (and unicorns)~ We all (at least, most of us) love Studio Ghibli! With all it's cuteness and fairy tale-esque whimsy, what's not to love? Well, we can totally use this love to motivate us to study! You see, lovely potatoes: Romanticisation of the little things to create whimsy doesn't have to just be in animation. We can apply that Studio Ghibli aesthetic to our student life as well! We've all wanted to be the main character in a story, but guess what? We all are main characters! You are the main character of your story, so: Embody the character that you want to be! When you're walking or driving to school in the morning, it's stress-free! Because we're not thinking of the destination; we're thinking of the journey! The rhythmic movement, the surroundings rushing past, the faint smell of morning dew, the feeling of the breeze... They're no longer things we don't have time to notice: They're the surroundings we take the time to observe and admire! When you're doing homework at night, just play some soft lo-fi music (or white noise, if that's better for you) and be the main character of a Miyazaki movie. The soft scratching of the pencil on paper, the rustle of pages turning in a book, the little clicks of keys on a keyboard... They're no longer the boring and ignored sounds of school: They're the sounds signifying our productivity and our learning something new! This works because it makes us look forward to these little things! We want to feel that happy feeling of being whimsical and innocent and appreciative of the little things around us. We not only feel good after studying; we feel good while doing it too! Remember, wonderful narwhals, don't just fantasize about Studio Ghibli; be a Studio Ghibli character! It makes the tedious and draining things in life so much easier to bear 😊!
