Photos of plant life
This thread is for photos of plant life, for the plant lovers.
@recliningfate OOOOOHhhhh the Swiss cheese leaves are so Uber-cool!!!! Isn't nature fascinating? I like the "spirit of the bow" as well --- very cheery!
Love decorating the plants during Christmas. ❤️
So many beautiful plants! 😊
I love lilies lol. These are this year's toad lilies
@mytwistedsoul Wow, toad lilies, a first for me. Thank you for sharing your beautiful blooms with us!!!!
@CalmRosebud You're welcome :)
@recliningfate Thank you :)
@mytwistedsoul those are pretty awesome, do they last long?
Listening - One Step At A Time!
@MistyMagic Thanks :) It depends on the weather but usually they'll bloom for about 3 weeks
@mytwistedsoul
these look so beautiful!! thank you for sharing this!!
@CosmicMango222 Hi, dear Cosmic Mango, I wish I could see the photo; your succulent garden sounds adorable!
I can't figure out why it won't upload. 🤔
@CosmicMango222 Hi, I have not had any luck uploading from my phone app. I have to go to my computer to upload any photos. I think it is something with 7 cups interface because I can upload photos to other sites from my phone.
So since I am learning to appreciate real life and its imperfections, I have here a Dendrobium Nobile in my collection since around August. I bought it as a challenge back then. It is quite shriveled and it went through a few potting changes (hope it is okay now). What I discovered is how resilient and how much it wants to live, it has 4 new growths at its base with new roots coming in.
It reminds me how much one can want to be here, and maybe it reflects (or maybe I project on it) a bit of my journey. I hope it will be here around for me.
Pasting the raw link as well, on the app tapping on that hyperlink does not work for me : https://ibb.co/WzGtK9B
Also the flowers smell like honey! Hope I can show some one day.
@PatienceImpatiens this reminds me of a pic i took last winter/spring bluebells i think these are but not sure i just love the flowers that show their beauty when everything surrounding it is dead its kind of inspirational i guess like a reminder always a new beginning and it happens all the time :)
@jennysunrise8 Spring! I'm ready for spring lol
@jennysunrise8
I absolutely love the color omg!!
@PatienceImpatiens
Lion,
You really captured the color well in that pic. That's beautiful!
@PatienceImpatiens These are beautiful! Amazing color 😊
@PatienceImpatiens beautiful common dog violet i had no idea it was called that i just found out did a google image search i love those lil flowers
Really delicate and calming. What are they?
@recliningfate I'm not sure. I wish I knew more names of flowers. I get hopelessly lost in their beauty but don't always know their name.
So beautiful! You guys can grow them outside!
Yes! We have huge holly trees 40-60 ft tall around here!
@recliningfate They're Asiatic lilies :)
Here's a kind of "photo dump." You will notice that this is mostly flowers. My realization yesterday when I was taking a photo of a very mature and beautiful lichen that had taken over a log, was that this is soooo limiting. I cannot upload a photo directly from my phone, so you will have to wait to see the lichen photo until I have transferred photos to my computer. (Computer person, any help with this? Some of us only have phones and therefore cannot upload photos from our phones.)
Here's the dump:
Apples from apple picking.
A surprise dahlia in the fall. You can see the brown autumn leaves around this surprise bloom I planted five or so years ago.
This plant has center leaves in the shape of a heart. I didn't buy it, but took a photo. Pro tip for those trying to save money: just take a photo of the plants you like, you don't have to buy all of them.
Lots of love and looking forward to seeing more plant photos. The lichen photo is coming, I promise, I just have to jump through a few hoops to give it to you.
@PatienceImpatiens I love clicking plants, well more like flowers for the most part, I do occasionaly also post them on an *** page I have: https://www.***.com/projectphone_/?hl=en
these 2 are my absolute favourites! you can see a bee going towards the flower in the second one, which makes it even prettier :>
@DeterministicRaven The bee going towards the flower adds such a special touch. Bees are indeed so essential to creation. I love your flower photos and am so glad you posted here!
