...See more Hey everyone! 🌟 Sorry for not being here yesterday as promised. This post for all those who know and do not know is in continuation with the weight management journey that we are all in together. I'm adding the post link for anyone who wishes to join us from the start. Click here! [https://www.7cups.com/forum/healthyliving/HealthyLivingBuddies_1018/JoinOurWeightManagementJourney_335354/] Today we'll focus on something we all want to do - Eat it all but gain no pounds! 😀Actually, it is possible. Want to manage your weight while still enjoying the foods you love? You’ve come to the right place! Here’s how you can balance your cravings with your health goals and make every bite count: * Portion Control: 🍽️ Think of your plate as a canvas! Use smaller plates to enjoy your favorite foods in just the right amounts. It’s all about savoring the flavor without piling on extra calories. Less really can be more! * Mindful Eating: 🧘‍♀️ Make mealtime a mindful experience. Slow down and enjoy each bite like it’s a gourmet treat. Turn off distractions—no phones or TV—and focus on the taste and texture. Trust me, you’ll feel more satisfied with less! * Balance Your Plate: 🎨 Create a colorful, balanced plate with veggies, lean proteins, and whole grains alongside your indulgences. It’s like making a delicious, nutritious mosaic that keeps your meals exciting and your body happy. * Healthy Swaps: 🔄 Give your favorite recipes a tasty makeover! Swap refined grains for whole grains, choose lower-fat ingredients, or add extra veggies. You’ll keep your favorites on the table without compromising your goals. * Snack Smartly: 🍎 Make snack time count with wholesome choices like fresh fruits, crunchy nuts, or creamy yogurt. These smart snacks keep you satisfied and energized between meals, making healthy eating a breeze! * Stay Hydrated: 💧 Water is your best friend! Drink up throughout the day to keep hunger at bay and support your body’s natural processes. Sometimes, a refreshing glass of water is all you need to curb those extra cravings. * Listen to Your Body: 🧠 Tune into what your body is telling you. Eat when you’re hungry and stop when you’re comfortably full. This intuitive approach helps you enjoy your meals without overindulging. By following these tips, you can enjoy your favorite foods and stay on track with your weight goals. It’s all about making thoughtful choices and finding joy in a balanced diet. Happy eating! 🎉🍴  As promised, I’ll see you all on Sunday with more tips and insights! Stay tuned! 🌟

...See more Hello wonderful people and Happy New Year! I have an app called Calm that gives me daily reflection prompts and I would love to hear your stories and perspectives. I will be posting here every morning with the daily reflection prompt and my answer, and anyone is welcome to post their answer to the daily reflection prompt! Today's reflection prompt is: What areas of your life can you approach with more openness this year? My answer: My alters; listening to them and nurturing them. Paying attention to my needs and not overworking myself in school to avoid burnout. Forming healthy and secure attachments to friends. Spending lots of time on my hobbies and interests. Generally going with the flow more, not trying to resist so much. Spending time sitting with my feelings instead of immediately trying to push the unpleasant ones away.  I'm looking forward to hearing your answers!

...See more Hi, I'm Maniac! About 5 to 6 years ago, I started on a backpacking journey across America. It has not been a straightforward journey at all. I've biked through the Appalachian Trail and have been all Through colorado and oregon and the US SouthEast. I'm currently trying to get all my licenses and passport! I wanted to share my pack list. I use a 5.11 bag. 55liter. Loaded it weighs about 40- 50 pounds. I carry a tarp, hatchet, folding saw, crowbar, trowel, several multitools, a self care kit, rope, first aid kit, baby wipes, a propane tank and stove attachment, lighter, multiple sharp knives and a file/sharpener Personal effects: just keep it to a phone, journal, and an old nintendo switch. Battery packs. Bulletproof armor and a pair of cheap nvgs. Sometimes I carry a takedown recurve with me. I carry chess pieces, tarot cards, magic decks, and dnd dice just in case Clothes: keep it simple with rain jacket and a good winter waterproof coat. A lot of basketball shirts and a few tshirts, camouflage and khaki for over pants, and an intermediate leg layer. For sleeping bag, I use a military sleeping back and a weatherproof outer liner. There is times I opt for a hammock. Most of my overnight camps are in abandoned houses.  For the most part I work to get money. I like shooting bows as a hobby. I love to cook healthy and I plan on getting a few licenses in the state im in for hunting/fishing this year. I'm hoping you guys liked this list, if you've backpacked, let me know. If you have healthy cheap recipes you know, let me know. If you're a gym rats and know some secret strategies for increasing gains, let me know lol ✌️

...See more I'm in my early 20s, no older than 25, and I'm like the size of someone in grade school. Even my cousin of 5 years younger is bigger than me, which to be fair, he's a guy. But still, with my latest the height of 134cm (4.4 ft) and 38kg (84 pounds), these senior highschoolers, my cousin's classmates (even the girls) are towering over me. And I still fit my pants and shirt from my 7th grade PE uniform, I was 13 😭

...See more Hi I'd like to start off by saying this is my first post here.Lately I've been gaining some weight I used to be 135-140lbs now I'm 170.It doesn't make it any better that I'm on the shorter side of the height spectrum I'm 4'11.So I'm obese for my height and am scared that if this keeps going on I'll be 200+lbs.Im very concerned for my health as I suffered a stroke last year.So I need to maintain a good exercise routine. All I do is mostly stay home and watch tv and eat all day. What are some ways to stop snacking/eating too much? I want to desperately break this cycle.I cant go to a gym because i have no money. So home workout recommendations would help. How can I gain motivation? What are some tips that you use or that works?
