🎃 This past week was well.... Last weekend was the long Columbus day weekend here, & we got out & about and did alot of various & enjoyable things... Took some nice drives, did a bit of shopping, got some good eats, and simply enjoyed. 


🍁 This past week turned quite cooler during the daytime, and even colder overnight!... Its been some of the coldest temps we've had since the end of last winter/mid-spring time!... But I got back on track at the start of the week with my usual Group Fitness classes, meal-planning, workouts/activities etc.. I kept up with hydration (which was getting away from me a bit), so I was happy about that... And sleep went really well also! So I hope I can keep the groove going with both of those!.. I had to miss a few of my outdoor walks with the furbaby due to the cold. If its too cold for us, then its too cold for them! .. Thankfully the past 2 days have been a little milder and we got to get back out... and by the start of the new week ahead, we will be back on track with warmer and more seasonable weather. So looking forwards to getting back those morning outdoor walks, and finishing up my October goals!

👻 This weekend, I got up early this morning and headed out to my usual Saturday morning ZUMBA Class, now we are getting ready to head out to one of our favorite local annual Fall Festivals... Then this evening, we have a "HAUNTED TOUR" scheduled for some Pre-Halloween fun~ So i'm looking forwards to it all, and about to go get ready now~

Regmo October 19th

@PoliteOcean Here's how the past week went. Monday I dusted my dresser for the first time in 18 months. It was really filthy. Tuesday I spent 40 minutes on the phone because my insurance plan is going to change at the end of this year. Doing things like that is really exhausting for a disabled person. Tuesday I went to the library but couldn't really concentrate because of the commotion with the EMTs having taken James to the hospital. Wednesday I spent 25 minutes on the phone with my insurance company giving them a health assessment. They sent me a $25 gift card for CVS which was really nice of them. I managed to get 3 walks in this week and two good study times at the library. Saturday morning I spent time updating my information on the social security web site. They still had my address as Veronica's address when I tried to move out from Leslie's 4 years ago. I couldn't update my information from the library's computer because they wouldn't let me upload my photo ID. I couldn't update it on my old Obama phone because the model was too out of date. I'm still working on it. Leslie just told me this morning that James had a seizure the other night which is why he had to go to the hospital. I had to ask my doctor for a 100 percent increase in my anti-anxiety medication because of James. I'm really hoping super badly that he doesn't come back here.

Hey Regmo~ Thats cool that you were able to get some cleaning done. I imagine after 18months that it was really needed.....I know what you mean about the whole "insurance thing"... I myself find it mentally exhuasting when its time for any insurance plan changes. But I don't care for change as it is so I'm sure that doesn't help. Hopefully for you, that you were able to get it done and that you had the help to do what was needed. I do however love when they pay you, or give "incentives" when doing those assessments!... Thats great that you were able to stick to your study times as well as your physical activities and get in a few walks over the course of the week! Keep up the great work. It truly sounds like you've had a wonderfully productive week for yourself!... And hopefully everything else regarding the household situation will continue to come together for you. Thanks for checking in and sharing your week. It sounds like overall, things went well for you. Continue to keep us updated on things.

Hey there Kate!~ Thats great for you that your week went well for you again, and that you got to get out for some food and shopping! I love days like that. And weekends are great for it!  Did you find anything good on your shopping trip?!

Yes physical and emotional wellbeing is so very important when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle! They both go hand in hand together for sure! Great answer. 

"Prioritizing sleep" is an amazing healthy living accomplishment!...I think it really is the base of how we feel overall mentally, physically & emotionally! And how we are able to respond to everything we do in the course of our day... Awesome response! Keep up the great work.

 Hey All~ Welcome to the weekend~.... How has your week gone for you?... What are your weekend plans ahead? This week has been "status quo" for me in work and life....I guess that is a good thing.....

🍁This is our "THIRD" Check-in for OCTOBER!~... (I haven't asked this question in some time), Share your thoughts!..... What does the term "Healthy Living" mean to you or entail for you "personally"?! (There are No wrong answers)! "Healthy living" to me means trying to eat healthy, get the appropriate amount of sleep, being active (not necessarily having an exercise or workout routine, just not having a sedentary lifestyle), and doing things to help your mental and emotional health....its a package deal....for me all those things need to have some place in your lifestyle.....

🎃 What do you feel has been your Most desirable Healthy Lifestyle achievement, accomplishment, or experience so far?! (Again, there are No wrong answers here)!  I feel my most healthy lifestyle achievement was about 25 years ago, when I quit using chewing tobacco....

👻 JUST FOR FUN:.. In the Spirit of Halloween Fun, What was your Most favorite Halloween candy or treat as a Child?!  My favorite candy were the small red twizzlers (licorice) people gave out.....but the most favorite thing I wanted and got in my trick or treat pumpkin were those McDonald's certificates for the free ice cream or french fry's......My family didn't eat McDonald's regularly....it really was a treat to go as a kid so getting those certificates meant a chance to go more often....lol

🌛 What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges?!  Highlights this week:  I'm making steady progress on my CPT class.....struggles....getting back into my regular routine....while things were "status quo", I'm still out of my routine....life keeps throwing things in there preventing me from doing my "regular" day to day things....this has been going on for a few weeks now and I'm wondering if my universe is telling me that my "routine" needs to be changed up.....but being stubborn like I am, I want to go back to my usual, comfortable, routine that has kept me happy for years.....Things to think about moving forward

Glad to hear for you that things have been well... I agree, (when I tell everyone my week has been "status quo" or "standard", then its definitely a good thing) lol... 

Yes, I agree with your answer... I love to see when others get it and realize that Healthy Living really is a "package deal"... That we don't necessarily have to be perfect, or an athlete etc...etc... We just have to focus on our overall wellness (Physically, mentally & emotionally).... I think that many people out there think that healthy living consists of only (eating salads and exercising every moment)... You'd be surprised by the people I see that say that. But yes, just having some healthy routines in place, trying not to be sedentary,  and making place for all those things in your life somewhere is definitely a great response. 

Oh wow! That is definitely a wonderful Healthy Living achievement for sure in being able to quit using tobacco!... I myself started to "smoke" right out of "highschool"... (I only did it "socially") but none-the-less a nasty habit that I'm so glad that I gave up (like you, 25 years or so ago)! Great job to you on that! 

Ahhh... yes... I love Licorice!! (Twizzlers is where its at)! lol.... I still have a craving for those "every now & then".... & omg.. now you are "telling our age" when you said about the McDonalds certificates!!!! lolol... That definitely took me back!! I loved those too. And you didn't get them often, but when you did, they were like a goldmine! (And yes, back then, McDonalds was definitely a "treat") unlike these days! lol Great answer!

I can definitely understand what you are saying about "routines"... I'm the type that doesn't care for changes.. and definitely like to have a day-to-day routine that I adhere to... Anything outside of those things throws me off kilter~ And it can be challenging trying to adjust to whats familiar and comfortable! (And yes, even keeps you feeling happy)~ So I hope that you are able to take a step back and think about things and figure out what will make & keep you happy moving forward. And try to do more of that!....And I'm glad to hear that you are continuing to make steady progress with your CPT class! Keep up the great work that you are continuing to do there. And please continue to keep us updated on how things are coming along with that!

Healthy LIving - living from the inside out, and guarding my well being with a fierce intentionality. That looks like quiet time to focus on what's important to me in the various areas of my life, as well as having the courage to do my spiritual work around relationships - heal, stay open, and be willing to meet new people and make new friends. Open to dating again too :). Great question, thank you for asking :)


🎃 What do you feel has been your Most desirable Healthy Lifestyle achievement, accomplishment, or experience so far?! (Again, there are No wrong answers here)!

Oh my goodness, having the courage to try this herbal cleansing. It literally changed the trajectory of my life and what I thought may be possible for me on deep personal levels. Wow. The knowlegde of it encourages me to dream more, dream bigger, and really tune in. I've been interested in herbalism as a healing modality for many years, now I'm exploring the path to become a master herbalist. AND, I feel much better than I have in months. I'm blown away by the results and i'm just 2.5 weeks in. I even packed and sealed the capsules myself 😀Those are my most desierable experiences thus far. Oh, that, plus committing to my 4-5 liters of water a day :) :)😀

🌛 What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges?!

Highlights - journaling, peer coaching with an accountability buddy, having this forum and posting + reading posts and responding etc., Deepening my commitment to my well being wholistically, listening to inspiring interviews. Stretching myself beyond what is familiar and venturing deeper into the sacred realms. Feeling good about these things 💛

Struggle - problematic situation with a peer and had to figure out how to handle it with care and tact, when I did not want to be involved to be honest. Made good on it though, prayed about it and approached it as gently as i could.
Missing the familial connection, making sure to be tender with myself as I navigate the no contact choice. Step by step... 


🌻What is something that "YOU" want to Talk about, Add or Share with us this week?!... WE want to hear from YOU~
Hey, i'm ready to really lean into a consistent exercise program for myself :) PoliteOcean these threads encourage me and got me to thinking about what this can look like for me for the long term :) And, why I was not making it happen too, learned some things about myself here. Will keep you posted. :)

Wow.. yes, It certainly seems you have a wonderful grasp on the "term Healthy Living"!... Its the whole package deal for sure! Mentally, emotionally, physically (and I love how you mentioned the "Spiritual" aspect of it too!) Because yes, that falls in line with that as well. Healing from the inside out when and where needed, as well as "socially" in being able to stay open to friendships (and yes dating too)! This is a wonderful and very well-rounded response to the question! Thank you for sharing!

Oh wow! What a response!... The herbal cleansing sounds like it is doing wonders for you! I have done these as well, but it makes me wonder what yours is like in comparison to what I have done from time to time.... You seem to be accomplishing all that you are setting out to get from the experience?!.. And wow, a "Master Herbalist"?! Very interesting... I would love to hear more about that. And making your own capsules??! (Is this the business that you were referring to above)?!

It certainly seems that you had your struggles to navigate through recently... But it seems like you did not only the best thing, but the right thing as well. And praying over it was even better. Prayer always leads us in a better direction with things when we are lost or confused about the situation.... Despite those struggles, it also seems like you had many wonderful highlights to counteract those! And its great that you are "feeling good" about all that you were able to accomplish! Continue to keep up the great work!

Polite Ocean it really is. The pain was next level and different than anything i've experienced. Oh which herbs and system have you tried? 
For sure, again, very intentional.

Yes, i want to learn about the herbs, their properties, the synergies, and different ways to offer them for use such as the capsules, or tea blends, etc. Been interested in herbs for many years. Really open to what is to come of it :)
Haha yes I made my own capsules - totally geeked out on it! :D 
Actually my business is health coaching, I don't get to do anything with capsules for others yet, I have to obtain my herbalist training first 💛

Thank you :D I actually like calisthenics, I'm so weak though I can't do a pushup yikes :-O willing to learn and build my strenth though <3 I mentioned before that I like martial arts too. The calisthenics is the easiest to do though since I don't have to find a course or class, just keep it simple. Yes I will totally share my updates :D

Hi, Ocean,

Hey All~ Welcome to the weekend~.... How has your week gone for you?... What are your weekend plans ahead?   It's been cold here, and I don't like the cold.  upper 30s at night.  brrrr!  I saved another kitten.  It was so little.  Maybe 1 or 2 months old.  Gosh and it was pretty.  And it was so friendly and sweet.  Some jerk dropped it off at the library where I work.  I work for the city and the city employees look out for each other here.  So I called the local humane society, which is another city place, and they took the kitten in.  I called a couple days ago and they said he is doing well.  :)  I'm so glad and relieved.  I also had to go to an employee in-service day from 8 am to 3;15 pm.  I usually work 4 hours in the afternoons, so that long day was rough for me.  I also had one employee snap at me during the week.  She is a little smart alek so it is just one of many times that she has snapped at me.  I've been rising above and not letting it bother me, but this was the last time.  I'm not speaking to her how she is doing again.

(There are No wrong answers)!  resting as much as I need to, eating as healthfully as I can, praying regularly and having conversations with God, exercising on at least a semi-regular basis, talking to good people like you, and taking care of my cat, because when she's healthy, I'm happier.

Oh yes it has been cold here too!.. I know what you mean. Those overnight lows have been crazy for this time of year! lol... And awwww.... So precious that you saved another kitty!... poor thing. So glad you found each other. I'm kind of glad that the person brought it and dropped it off at the library, when you think about what could've happened to it! As You never know how people are these days. I don't trust many of them! lol.. So I'm glad that things worked out, and things were able to come together for the kitten. And so glad to hear that he is doing well!....

Sorry to hear about the person who is being a smart alec to you!... Especially by "snapping" at you! That can be tricky. And I don't take kindly to people like that. But it's really great & mature of you to "rise above" that person and the situation  and to not let it bother you! Not many people can always do that!... So keep up the great work (and RESTRAINT) there!! (you're definitely better than I might've been there in that situation)! lol

Oh my gosh yes, I agree with your response (resting as much as you need to)!... This is so important... I love how you also mentioned "PRAYING" regularly! Yes, yes, and Amen. Also so very important for those who remember the "Spiritual" aspect of healthy lifestyles. And how important that is for our (mental and emotional) wellbeing as well.... And yes, talks with good people who care, & yes (for sure our PETS)!! 🐾💗... Very awesome response on how all these other things that might seem minor to some, are actually very important to our overall wellness!

Lots of great responses there Tree... And I hope that your week continues to go well from that person who caused some conflict for you. The best thing there is definitely to continue to avoid them! And prayers for that little Kitten & that it continues to do well. So glad it found its way to you!

Newbie here! Healthy living for me means, having a balanced life and understanding there are multiple aspects that contribute to overall health. When we struggle in one area it affects all other areas kind of like a weak link in a chain. And also recognizing when we need rest to take it.

Yes,yes yes! This is absolutely the truth! All aspects (mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually)… it all goes together hand-in-hand. When one is affected, it can in fact affect or compromise another aspect. 

So wonderful job to you on seeing this for yourself & acknowledging it for your overall wellness! Great job and keep up the great work!

It's been...OK. Today's the day I first came into existence on earth, but have been ignored and overheard my estranged relatives that I'm temporarily staying with say they didn't want to celebrate it so...that's cool...

🍁This is our "THIRD" Check-in for OCTOBER!~... (I haven't asked this question in some time), Share your thoughts!..... What does the term "Healthy Living" mean to you or entail for you "personally"?! (There are No wrong answers)!

Just making sure to stay hydrated, eat a healthy balance of foods, exercising, and also good to be healthy socially. I'm lacking on the social health, but recently downloaded some apps to make friends, so will see how that goes.

🎃 What do you feel has been your Most desirable Healthy Lifestyle achievement, accomplishment, or experience so far?! (Again, there are No wrong answers here)!

I cook most meals when I'm physically capable, my medical issues make it hard sometimes, so on days I have energy, I make extra food, so all I have to do is warm up some leftovers.

Never really liked candy to be honest.

🌛 What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges?!

Struggles: ... Currently living in an unhealthy environment both physically and mentally, delayed training date/lack of communication from recruiter, alone on b-day, estranged relative(aka, my own mother) has told me to NOT work and has attempted to sabotage my efforts of becoming independent so I will need to leave (quietly).
Highlights: ...FINALLY have a (remote) job (with weekly pay) just waiting for start date, job will allow me to move out of estranged relatives house by December at the earliest and maybe February at the latest, job will also allow me to buy my own car, my partner will be moving in with me too, and lastly, I can just do a big celebration when I move (ex. got new house, car, job, and catching up on b-days and holidays). Also, when I leave that relative's house, I can go check out new parks to take son and spend more time with him as well as go to hospital

...I left 7cups in August and temporarily came back. Thought maybe it could help me with what I'm going through. Not sure if I want to stay...I joined back in 2019 and things are different now for me. I plan on saving money and going back to therapy. Maybe therapy can help me best utilize this website? Idk. I'm trying some things to help with my diagnosed depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Will see if it works out...I made a budget to make room for therapy. I just find myself in a loop of venting/ranting and spiraling instead of doing more. So, I took a break and cracked down on my issues. Just here to update really that I'm OK. Not entirely safe(that relative threatened to inflict pain onto me), but just OK and will have freedom soon in a few months.

Hello there 👋🏼~ Good to see you sharing this week. 

Sorry to hear that your special day was a negative experience for you. Im sure that was definitely challenging. Hopefully you were able to salvage it in some small way and end with a positive outcome. 

It sounds like you are doing a wonderful job living as healthy of a lifestyle as you can or are able... And yes (socially counts too)! I think you might actually be the first & only one to mention that part of it! But yes that part has surely been proven to be beneficial to our overall wellbeing by having “positive connections” in our lives. Great job to you at continuing to work on that aspect. 👍🏼

It seems like you have been “Meal-prepping” to accomplish tasks ahead of time for days that you aren’t able to! That is awesome. And definitely beneficial to us when we are short on time, simply not feeling well, or even having a not so great day. So keep up the great work that you are doing with that. 

It also definitely sounds like you have been dealing with various personal struggles. But we are glad that you did what you felt you needed to do for yourself. By taking a break from Cups , and trying to focus on yourself and what to work on in your life… we are glad for you that overall you are for the most part safe, and that you are doing ok. And I think it’s an awesome highlight for you that you finally were able to get the remote job that you needed… In order To do the things that you want to finish doing & move on from! And it’s wonderful for you that you thought ahead to help budget for therapy and continue to work on problem solving & solutions for yourself & situation. It appears like you have a great list of highlights & a great list of plans ahead for yourself. And those few months will definitely come sooner than you realize to be in a better situation. 

So keep up the great work you have been doing as well as your focus. And we have no doubt that things will continue to come together for you in positive ways. 

We also appreciate the update on how you’ve been doing And glad to see you check in. And when you feel up to doing so again, feel free to keep us posted on how things are continuing to go.

I did some simple mobility movements and a modified total body calisthenic routine. I like calisthenics.
