🍁 This past week was stable for the most part... Some situations could have gone better, but by focusing on the positives it helped in moving past or beyond the negatives.... I still remained on track with my goals through the week (although still working on that Hydration goal in these Fall months), but getting back there.

🌻 Last weekend we got out to an early "Holiday/Christmas" festival where there were lots of great vendors (& it was helpful in boosting some early holiday spirits)~... The holiday festivals are now in full swing here. But on another note, the weather wasn't too conducive to it since it's been warm, mild & still in the 70's. But it made it excellent for being able to get out & about with the Furbaby this week and getting in daily walks. I also continued to keep up with up with Group Fitness classes. I changed up my usual schedule this week & worked in 2 evening classes instead of early mornings. Which allowed me to get some other stuff done, as well conducive to getting in some extra rest.... Call me crazy but I even found myself playing & listening to some Holiday music while making dinner this past week... Needless to say it was something that brightened my spirits and brought a little early cheer!

🍂 This weekend ahead I have NO real intentions or plans.... But I did get up for my early Morning Zumba class to start off the day..... I also have a few light errands....And I'm honestly going to just see where the day leads me as I prepare for the week ahead & continue on in my personal November goals.

Hi, again, Ocean,

I could just picture you listening to holiday music and cooking.  That is a picture that brightened my mood.  :)

Best of luck on your personal November goals.  God bless you and yours.

Good for you for being on track with your goals and not having any real intentions or plans is not necessarily a bad thing.  As for the Holiday/Christmas festivals, I think it is a little early for those.  With that said, for me, all holidays are a hit or miss with celebrations and how "into" it I am.  It all depends on my mood in the weeks and days leading up to them.  My mood changes year to year, based on a few things that I won't go into now.  In an attempt to try to get myself into the proper spirit and not be a Scrooge this year, I also have been popping Christmas music on here and there.  I already pulled out the decorations thinking if I had them out and around it would help put me in the proper mind set (kinda nuts hey?), but my girlfriend is adamant that I don't put them up until the day after Thanksgiving......I'm waiting for the right time to have a conversation to try to change her mind lol.....last year I was in a dark place, didn't decorate at all, only put the tree because of the kids, and was a Scrooge and miserable the whole season and I hid it well..... this year I'm feeling a little Christmassy so getting a super early start may help me stay that way.... I'm going to use that as my argument lol....

@CyclingThroughLife

This totally resonated with me… I know what you mean.

(I too think it’s slightly early for the Christmas festivals, but they only seem to come earlier & earlier each year)… so no point in fighting it Lolol …

But I can Also understand how a “mood” can shift your feelings about things. I found myself there a few weeks ago, and even this year because of that situation, I found myself questioning whether or not I was even going to decorate & put up a tree myself! But I decided to do so because I still love the season, & I have a son who still as a grown man, loves to celebrate everything & everyone. So that we shall do!

But I’m like you in trying to decide on a proper time to get things up! Lol … But I’m so glad to hear for you that you aren’t in that dark place this year and that your spirits (& mood) are a little more brighter for you this year!

@PoliteOcean James has been gone for 3 and 1/2 weeks. Stuart has been blasting his TV a lot and I can't do my beauty routine when he does that. It's really annoying. Tuesday Amanda was cooking stinky food in the kitchen. I really hate that. Wednesday I made an appointment with DMV to get my photo ID renewed in a few weeks. What is normal for other people is an ordeal for me because of my chronic pain.  Thursday and Friday I spent 30 minutes each day doing an intake to see if I should get transcranial magnetic stimulation treatment. They want me to come in 5 times a week for 7 weeks. That's insane. 😡😡😡. There is no way I could do that.  I went to the library 3 times and went for a walk 3 times. I made good progress on my vocabulary journal which I haven't done for a long time. Friday night Amanda stayed here late and I was very worried and stressed about it. Fortunately Sifa fixed me breakfast on Saturday.  I started 3 new supplements this month; Shilajit, Korean Red Panax Ginseng and green tea extract.

Hey Regmo, Between James being gone & the others that remain in the household, it sounds like a situation where you have to take the good with the bad… (Especially when having to live with others)…. But it’s good for you that you were able to get an appt made to get your ID renewed. And that you were able to get out to the library & get in a good bit of walks for yourself during the week! It also sounds like making progress with your vocab journal was an added bonus & positive highlight to your week as well..  Hopefully you can continue on those positive paths for awhile… As far as the intake situation, 5x a week for 7 wks (while that time will surely go by swiftly), definitely sounds like a lot as well as a bit discouraging for you. So I can understand you not wanting to commit to that. But perhaps it’s also something you can think on in the future if you feel it’s something that might eventually help & be of benefit. And maybe it might be a bit more conducive to you if your situation changes to do so.. Two of those supplements I have not heard of, so will definitely have to look them up to learn more. But you will have to update on them to let us know how they are working & if you are getting any added benefits from taking them. Thanks for checking in to share your week. And Again, keep us posted of how things are going.

@PoliteOcean Hello Ocean,

If I have 30 mins to spend $5,000 in one store, this store will be fruit store that sells all kind of fruits. I want to try all kinds of fruits. It is crazy. Isn't it?

I am ill again. My immune system isn't good. I know this because I eat less, but I still can't change.

I hope you're well Ocean.

@PoliteOcean

Hi, Ocean,

Hey Everyone~ Welcome to the Weekend~ How did the first Full week of this New month go for you?  I think it went ok, except for one creepy guy that was in the library.  He reminds me of the morning star.  I won't say it's name.  He looks at me and laughs and doesn't speak in english and has a smile that looks like death.  I'm going to tell my boss on Tuesday.

🍁This is our "Second" Check-in for the Month~..... With the "Time-change" this past week, how did that go for you?.... Do you feel that it affected your wellbeing in any way, or do you feel you adjusted well through the week?

I loved the extra hour of sleep.

🌾It's said that "NO"vember is the month to say "NO" to the things that no longer serve your wellbeing in a positive or healthy way!.... What is "ONE" thing in the course of the rest of this month that you can let go of, release or say No to in order to protect your peace, your wellbeing, What your grateful for & what truly matters to you (& say Yes to what Empowers you instead)?!   A woman I work with who gets away with everything.  She has started talking to me more and I don't want to talk to her.  I want to say No to her but I'm not sure what I would be saying No to.

🍂JUST FOR FUN:.. You have 30 minutes to spend $5,000 in ONE store.... WHAT Store would that be for you? (& feel free to share what you might buy)!  Lord & Taylor, clothes

🌻What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges?!  I've just been watching the creepy guy in the library.  I think I really upset him by watching him.  I'm going to tell my boss on Tuesday.  We have off on Monday.

Hey there Tree!~ Im glad to hear that your week went ok for you (despite the creepy library guy)!.. yikes! Im so sorry to hear that for you. That does surely sound creepy. And I can understand how it would make you feel uncomfortable. Nobody should have to feel like that in their place of employment. And you are right to speak up to your boss about it! Good luck to you there! 🙏🏼

Im also glad to hear for you that you enjoyed your “extra hour” of sleep and that you benefitted from that feeling.

As for the woman that you work with, I’m not sure how or if you would be able to avoid her at work if you are co-workers & need to work together… (Only because I’m not sure exactly how closely you have to work with one another)… however, if it’s an option for you to NOT have to deal with her or speak to her, I would personally say that saying “No” to dealing with her would certainly benefit your overall well-being in your work environment! Which we definitely need to be able to perform our best while there! Again good luck to you on making that decision for yourself. As we certainly shouldn’t have to deal with anyone that we desire not to!

(Lord & Taylor! Great choice & response!)

And again, I hope you get the work issues resolved this week! It’s better to just face them & deal with them than to be there in discomfort & stressed. Please let us know how things go there for you!

And thank you for checking in to share your week with us! Please continue to keep us updated on how you are doing Tree!

Hey Everyone~ Welcome to the Weekend~ How did the first Full week of this New month go for you?  The first full week of November was a rough one for me.  See my answers to your questions below....

🍁This is our "Second" Check-in for the Month~..... With the "Time-change" this past week, how did that go for you?.... Do you feel that it affected your wellbeing in any way, or do you feel you adjusted well through the weekI think the time change really messed me up for a couple of reasons.  For the last few weeks, going on a month, I've been cutting caffeine.  I'm down to no caffeine after 8am.  I've also been having trouble staying asleep and waking through out the night, despite cutting the caffeine.....with the clocks turning back, I'm waking at night even earlier than what I have been and not really going back to sleep.  I'm super tired and wiped out by 3:30 or 4pm.  I actually dozed off twice this week around 3:45pm at the computer while doing my online class, and 4 times by 7pm while watching television with my girlfriend.  My normal bed time is about 8pm, so the 7pm dozing off makes sense based on the clocks going back....the dozing off in the middle of the afternoon is new this week.....I'm trying to figure it out but contribute it to a combination of the time change, giving up the caffeine, and not sleeping well.....I don't want to nap in the afternoon when I get out of work because an hour or two nap a few times a week is an hour or two I don't have to workout or get things done.....

This is a really good question and something I need to put thought into.  I find that I am a people pleaser or compromiser most of the time, because its easier to do that than to have to deal with the drama or change when it comes to others.  Saying "no" to something that involves others would actually not protect my peace and cause some stress, at least in my mind, if that makes sense.  Let me think on this a few days....

🍂JUST FOR FUN:.. You have 30 minutes to spend $5,000 in ONE store.... WHAT Store would that be for you? (& feel free to share what you might buy)!  If I had $5000 to spend, I'd put it toward my mortgage or car payment, but thats not the question.....so I'd probably spend it in Home Depot doing upgrades to my home.....

🌻What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges?! My main struggle was being tired by the middle of the afternoon.  I managed it the best I could....no real "action" taken, just doing what I could to get through.....

🍁What is something that "YOU" want to Talk about, Add or Share with us this week?... WE want to hear from YOU~Update on my class.....I'm struggling with some of the content pertaining to the systems of the body....I'm not scoring what I would like on the knowledge checks and quizzes, and it is frustrating.....I know I'll eventually get it and pass when its all said and done, but I don't like where I'm at with "knowing" the information at this time...I don't want to memorize it, which I found myself memorizing the questions and answers based on the rotation of the questions in the question pool, I want to know the information.......I decided earlier in the week not to dwell on those sections and chapters and keep moving forward in the book and go back to that area later on.  That was kinda helpful because later chapters build on earlier chapters and I'm seeing some of it again and some things are falling into place.....

Hey there Cycling 🚴 ~

So sorry to hear for you that you again had a rough week.. I know the time-change can be difficult from person to person for various reasons…. And I know that for you personally, that you’ve been challenged & struggling with the caffeine (& sleep issues). By the way I think it’s wonderful that you’ve been able to get it down to none after 8am!!! Wow! Great job to you there!….But It’s understandable that the time change and disruption can cause issues this time of year. … As a suggestion regarding the nap, (for now), if you really feel that you need it, realize that it’s ok. And maybe you can consider just for now, a “small” nap? Let’s say 20-30 minutes? If you feel yourself dozing off in the afternoon, set a timer/alarm for just 20-30 minutes. Allow your body that rest it feels it needs, allow it to “refresh & recharge”, and then jump back into your day & routines until it has the chance to catch up and adjust. Just a thought? But it’s good that for now that you are managing the best that you can & I hope that you are able to find something or a routine that works for you personally!

Ha! Well I’m glad that my “No”vember question made you think!! Love that! Perhaps you will be able to see & shed some light on some things for yourself going forwards, and share with us (in time) what you come up with…. Btw, I feel I’ve tried to be a people pleaser as well… especially as a fitness instructor where you literally have to deal with people so closely. I got so caught up in trying to ensure everyone in my classes were getting all they desired, while at times compromising my own wellbeing & even home life since I put so much time into it all! Hence why I took the break! Taking the break has definitely allowed me to see overall how it was affecting me trying to please everyone “all the time”! We just can’t do that, we can’t be everything to everyone. And that’s ok! I didn’t think it was for a long time, but now I see otherwise! And hope you are able to find some balance there as well!

Ha! Good old Home Depot. I hear that one!

Despite having some issues & struggles with your class content, it great for you that you were able to figure out a way & a system that will work for you now in the time being. It can & will definitely be a “headache” here & there, but in the end it will all be so worth it for you! And I’m glad that you feel that things are continuing to fall into place.

Thank you for continuing to share your week with us and letting us know how things are going with you. And please continue to keep us updated on everything!

@PoliteOcean Hey Ocean,

This week has been very relaxing for me because I have the week off of school. Finally having a much needed break while slowly catching up on school work that fell behind.

Something I can say no to to help my wellbeing is probably plans with friends only until the semester is over. Seeing others is very important but I honestly don't have any time to waste.

If I had $5,000, I would probably spend it at any store that sold K-beauty or maybe Aritzia!

@PoliteOcean

Hey Everyone~ Welcome to the Weekend~ How did the first Full week of this New month go for you?
Long time no speak, I have been so busy there has been so many changes and I will fill everyone in. This month has been great, I am now 27 as of the 8th of this month. I have been officially married for a month as of yesterday. An this month is bittersweet because this is the last relationship anniversary my husband and I are celebrating which is on the 22nd, then we will be celebrating our wedding anniversary in 10/12 from here on out <3

🍁This is our "Second" Check-in for the Month~..... With the "Time-change" this past week, how did that go for you?.... Do you feel that it affected your wellbeing in any way, or do you feel you adjusted well through the week
I can say that the time change has really thrown me off balance, I was physically and mentally tired for a while. It takes me about two months to feel normal again, because I can sense the energetic shift and not just the time zone.

Well, I said "No" to family therapy with my parents, because it is a way for them to gaslight me and my sister. An I said "yes" to individual therapy. I am no longer holding the burden of how my parents are, they are toxic mainly my father.

🍂JUST FOR FUN:.. You have 30 minutes to spend $5,000 in ONE store.... WHAT Store would that be for you? (& feel free to share what you might buy)!
A nice relaxing retreat myself, husband and daughter.

🌻What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges?!
Highlights: My daughter was diagnosed with ASD as of last month, so she started going to speech therapy and now goes twice a week. I am now married, and I am going strong in my GED classes. I will eventually be taking the test for the reading portion soon!
Struggles: I have had moments of burnout so I had to step away a bit

🍁What is something that "YOU" want to Talk about, Add or Share with us this week?... WE want to hear from YOU~
Just that I am grateful to be here with you all again, and now being able to do the internship from 7cups. I am having a wonderful time!
