Mantras To Live By
A mantra is "a word or phrase that is repeated often or that expresses someone's basic beliefs."
A mantra is a self affirmation that you can repeat & think to yourself. Itcan help you be reflective about your personal thought patterns and work on improving them. Pick 1 or 2 that you want to work on and make a commitment to thinking them this week. Say them to youself when you wake up in the morning and before bed.
Let us know how it goes! You can create your own & share them here. Here are a few for you to start with:
I love myself and accept myself in this moment.
I forgive myself.
Keep your head up & your heart open.
My life is a magical gift.
This too shall pass.
I am strong & vibrant. I bring my unique opinions & world view to everything that I do.
I will accept the change that I cannot change.
It's not how far you go, it's how go you far. :)
You cant live a positive life with a negative mind ;)
Sail away from the safe harbour
Aut viam inveniam aut faciam is Latin for "I shall either find a way or make one. I actually have it tattooed on on my left side :)
I stumbled across an excellent quote the other day at the library when I was perusing the self-help aisle and thought it might help to share!
" A purpose oh human life, no matter who is controlling it, is to love whoever is around to be loved." - Kurt Vonnegut.
That is how I feel about being a listener of 7 Cups of Tea:) Hoping to love all those around me!
I love the mantra:
"Teach love to learn love"
I learned of it from A Course in Miracles and it has helped me greatly in finding peace with myself and the world.
My personal mantras are: "I can do anything that I want do" "I haven't got any limits" "I can do it and I will do it"
Look around there is beauty all around you.
A phrase I have been living by now for the last month or so which has really changed my motivation levels and attitude significantly is: The price of discipline is always less than the price of regret.
I hope this helps someone else Too. :)
"This too shall pass" is one that I've lived by since I was 12. Even have it engraved on a bracelet.
