What does self-love mean to you?

Self-love to me means having a high regard for your own well-being and happiness. Self-love means taking care of your own needs and not sacrificing your well-being to please others.

Genuine self-love and self-acceptance feel like embracing who you are, flaws and all. It's about treating yourself with kindness, recognizing your worth, and not being too hard on yourself during tough times. It means setting boundaries, recognizing your needs, and prioritizing your well-being without guilt.

Self-love is really about self-knowledge. If you knew who and what you are, it would be impossible not to love yourself. The more you understand yourself, the more you'll love yourself. And the more you love yourself, the more you'll love others. Rediscover the amazing person!

“Be the love you never received.”

@khloemarie999 What a great post and reminder to love yourself or to begin that journey of self-love (because it can be a long nonlinear journey and that is okay :) ). We must remember that not only is it good for our wellbeing to practice self-love or self-acceptance when love can be hard to do, but it is also good for those around us because we are not pouring from an empty cup! :)

@khloemarie999 it's sooo much easier to love others than yourself. But I'm trying😁❤

Yes, I can relate to that. And while loving others is also very important, so is self-love! It's not selfish; it's a necessary act of self-preservation. By prioritizing self-care, we become better equipped to navigate life's challenges, have healthier relationships, and ultimately lead to more fulfilling lives! And I love that you are trying. Keep going, you got this!!!

@khloemarie999 I absolutely love this perspective on self-love. Embracing ourselves, flaws and all, is such a powerful act of kindness. I also agree that the more we understand ourselves, the more we can love ourselves and others. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful reminder!

Thank you for the post!

Self love for me means the ability to love yourself no matter what. Whether it be the mistakes or failures you have experienced, it is the ability to love yourself during those circumstances and move forward in life.

It also means that I take care of myself first before I take care of others well-being

@khloemarie999

this is a great post truth is we not there yet but working on it. we grow up with not being allowed to have boundaries. not being allowed personal space and not really even owning our own body. this was for most our life. so we took out a lot of self even tried to destroy  our body many times.

so self-love or self-acceptance is still new to us after many years of not really even knowing who we  are even what rights we had in this all. we becoming more open on here taking a risk too but we learning we have rights to have boundaries  to have personal space so in that we learning to have self acceptances more and more as we heal. but we just learning about who we be
