STEP 800
In the previous 100 steps, I ...
1. Made a new, dear friend on here
2. Celebrated my birthday last week
3. During last week celebrating my birthday with my Dad and brother, I was also there for my Dad when he had a cystoscopic surgery to cauterize a (thankfully benign but still problematic) bladder tumor and we watched the local baseball team games on TV together that week
@AbbyHarris1976 - Happy birthday! And how's it going with your dad?
@OceanRest
Thank you! My Dad is doing a little better ... he will have to have the tumor actually cut out and removed later but I'm glad he is in a better mood and is more comfortable than he was last week
@AbbyHarris1976 - A better mood and being a bit more comfortable can help a lot! I hope he will soon feel healthy again.
@OceanRest
Thank you so much!
@AbbyHarris1976 Awesome job—you are so positive to others amd I would add that you are a great re-poster! 😇
Reached step 204. Been finding things really tough for a while. So I'm learning that it is okay not to be okay and that there are people (and lots of animals🐾) out there who will accept me as I am, however much of a mess I am! sending hugs xx
@purpleButterfly24 - That is true and I hope you will find more and more of them. I especially like the addition of animals.
Focusing on deep breathing of 6 seconds helps me to relax more.
@Pastelblooms - People often think things like self care and relaxation should take a long time, but it doesn't have to. Just a few seconds can make a big difference. Thank you for sharing this with us.
One thing I
@ThePizza - Yes, I think that is a very important realization. You do what you do well, that's your job. Let someone else do what they do well. That's their job. I think we sometimes feel like we are the only person and we have to make all the difference. But it's not true. We just have to do our part and remember that we are one person in the context of a whole world of other people and options also available to someone who we are supporting. You don't have to be and do everything.
75 steps completed.
Milestone - after being in denial about needing help for about 18 months I've finally made myself a doctor's appointment. I'm terrified, but its the closest I've come to really addressing my problems in about 9 years.
今天我出去踢球,碰到了很多中国朋友,同时今天感觉踢得很不错,非常的开心
Step 430 of my Growth Path! I'm still trying to be less socially awkward, and I'm learning sometimes first impressions don't define a whole relationship. Also, I'm trying to focus on the positive things that I do, instead of a single negative thing.
I have been working on being healthy and been making a lot of changes.
Hello 500- I
@Zengrl Congratulations. I too think there is a strong link between my stomach issues and nerve/stress. All the best
@mija123 I notice it most when I fly to a conference or meeting. I love airplanes, so I think it is the anxiety of being with a group of strangers.
@GlenM Sometimes you have to risk breaking eggshells while walking on them around someone else in order to put my foot or let someone know I am not okay with what they are doing. Sure they may get nasty but someone like that is going to get nasty regardless.
