I have eating porblems, and now that I realise it I can make changes. Its not going ro stop overnight, but I know I have to tools and the knowledge to cope with intill I heal.
Keep at it.
Hello everyone :)
I am (re)learning that change is hard!!! Oh, I dislike change so SO much. Change that affects me, especially if I have zero control over it or my opinion is not considered, ... well I do just not like change! Granted sometimes change is or can be good. I do not like the " *surprise!* change for you Platy! " I'd be like umm, no. No, thank you.
I have spent much less time on 7cups this week. I hope this yay!change (especially with major chunks of the site) does NOT continue. Or that we at least get something in it's place - not to replace the Feed (example) but something similar that we can encourage one another - especially member to member.
I want to trust that the admin "have our backs" as members AND listeners too.
This is my step 1650. It will give me a daily streak of 37. AND ... I am four now :) Happy Cupsiversary to Platy (enter star here, gold star)! (Edit: I missed the deadline/time ... so this will be daily streak of 1, I think = not cool.)
@GlenM I've learned I have to accept myself as I am.
I am on step 70. I learnt to be caring and supportive.
there are people willing to listen to me
@GlenM
Some things can be put to the wind like a cloud to drift away. I don't have to be my anxiety!!!!
@GlenM I am not what I think and feel. And it's important to have someone who's an outsider of your situation listen and doesn't judge you. Also, I learned how to take my negative thoughts and push them away through meditation
I've recently learned about the GIVE steps to healthy relationships! It really opened my eyes to the kinds of things I need to change in how I interact with others.
@betterchoices what's the GIVE steps?
@Cstewart53 Oh gosh, I just learned it so I can't remember what everything is off the top of my head, (my notes are elsewhere) but if you choose the Managing Emotions Growing Path, it's one of the first things you learn! Essentially it's about having happy and healthy interactions with people you care about in order to maintain relationships. G is for gentle: Don't overreact to things, don't yell in a conversation, exit conversations gracefully (don't say "this is over!" or storm off)... Stuff like that!
