@ASilentObserver congrats for launching this! I recommend everyone interested in group support and influence to give it a try! The outcomes are applicable to our personal lives as well
@ASilentObserver
Can you pls provide the duration of this program and how learning gonna take place. Per day how much time we have devote or weekly.
@ASilentObserver love this! Can't wait to see how it rolls out!
@ASilentObserver
That sounds fun! I am not currently eligible, but I had a few questions for the future perhaps! It mentioned that "at the successful completion of the track, one will be eligible to become a mentor in the focused track."
1) Would you still have to meet the requirements of a chatroom mentor/teen star to become one?
2) Would the requirements to become a chatroom mentor/teen star now include the completion of this program?
@ASilentObserver What constitutes a behavioral
report? Someone said I didn't respond is a timely manner which, in their minds, 1 minute wasn't quick enough. I also had someone frustrated with me because I didn't "solve their problem for them " in 15 minutes. That person got verbally abusive and I had to finally block them.
In addition, sometimes it says I'm sharing personal information when I'm not. For example, it will say not to share person information when I say they can always email me and let me know how they're doing. What is implied is to email me on this site, not my personal email. I have since tried to change it to just message me on here. So a lot of it is subjective and frustrating as there's no way to respond to these anonymous post.
I work hard to help support those that need help and have continued friendships with them so they don't feel alone and they know they have safe space. I have 5 star reviews and 20 something comments. All this to say sometimes feedback is more in alignment of what one person feels rather than the whole.
I realize this is a long comment but it's been discouraging that I have had no point of contact to respond and explain the context because it would appear that's irrelevant and somehow one comment made by someone outweighs the 5 star rating with many reviews. I'm here to help people so in the end what others think about me doesn't really matter but I'm not sure if I qualify or not. Hopefully I'll get feedback regarding this.
If I find that there are unrealistic standards of perfection needed to be a listener, I may need to find a different area to volunteer in but my intent is 100% to help others! That's why I'm here. I'm not getting school credit. I almost have my Bachelors in Family and Human Development (darn college algebra) and I'm certified in peer support through my state too.
I think email me can be subjective though and only the person saying it knows what it means. To me, I would consider email me to mean an email address because I wouldn’t refer to anything on site as email because thats not how i look at it, but others may feel it is like that. Definitely a subjective idea, but i see your point. If you ever feel a review is unfair, you can email community@7cups.com and explain what happened.
@EvelyneRose Thank you! It's tough that all of the emails sent have no reply addresses. I feel like there's not exactly a place for feedback. I definitely need there to be so I feel like I can respond to what's being said. Like a 1 to 2 minute delay has a gut once accusing me of ghosting him. Even though I was typing and evidently not fast enough for him!
@ASilentObserver Can you please to tell us how much hours per week this program represent?
@ASilentObserver I would love to register. Becuase I can help people who needs it and help them out with the stuff that is causeing them problems and I love the community and I get along with everyone. I'm also am responsible. And know what people are going through hope you will pick me😊😊😊💙💙
@ASilentObserver
Sounds great! I've applied :)
@ASilentObserver Awww I would've loved to join but sadly I'll still have my newbie badge by then :( maybe next time.
I have a question
can someone first do the group support track and then after finishing the group track do the listener room track?
