Hello! I chose the picture of an apple because it represents to me growth and potential. The apple can grow to become the best apple it can be. I think we all have potential, and I also believe that most people are not solely good or bad- we are a combination of light and dark. That's just human nature.

I've been here since 2013, and I am now in my 30s. I have always been told I'm a good listener and person to come to. People have come to me years after talking to them because they remembered I was someone to confide in. I like to think of myself as open minded, non judgmental, and compassionate. I try to be honest, but tactfully so. I find the best people in my life are those that tell me what I need to hear, not what I want to hear, and that is something I practice with others. I hope to be here for you, and I will cheerlead you on. I cannot give advice, but I will be a support for you. I take casual chats, so even if you're just bored or need someone to talk to and don't have a pressing issue, I am happy to talk to you. 









My strengths lie in the subjects I have listed on my profile, so I will not be the best fit for everyone (and that is okay!). I hope everyone can get the help they need from whoever it is, even if it's not me. If I cannot help you, I will let you know and try to connect you with someone that can. I do the best with chats that can be asynchronous, as my schedule varies and I don't want to promise I can sit down for a real time chat if I cannot. That is unfair to both of us time wise, and time is a precious thing.

...See more Hello Community, I am here with exciting updates for the Quality domain. We are proud to announce two new leaders to our quality projects. We are proud to announce @MelodyoftheOcean as our newest Quality Ambassador! Ocean has been a part of the community since 2021. She has been involved in various teams over the years, but her current focus is on the Care Team. She has been leading the team with @Chevy81, as Chevy leads the sibling team Listener Coaching Team. We are excited to have her join us in a higher level leadership position where she can further explore her talents and leadership across the domain. Her first steps are to create more inclusivity in the team, so we look forward to all the great things she will achieve! Please give her a grand welcome :) We also have @Tommy who has recently been promoted from Quality Mentor to Quality Mentor Leader! Tommy has done excellent work helping Safety Patrol, and has recently stepped into the role of Mentor Leader to help scale our safety efforts. As Safety Patrol has had some changes lately, he is helping re-vamp the team alongside @Rebekah and @Midnightraven999 with sights on future expansion. Please welcome him to our leadership team!

...See more Hello Community, I am here with exciting updates for the Quality domain. We are proud to announce our two newest Quality Ambassadors, @Chevy81 and @Harsvin! @Chevy81 has worked hard on managing not one but TWO quality teams. She has created a strong leadership team in both teams as she pursues the caring and support of listeners across the community. Care Team and Listener Coaching Team have benefited greatly from her leadership. She is punctual, reliable, and able to quickly problem solve any issues that arise. We look forward to great things in the future! @Harsvin started as a mentor and climbed the ranks of increasing responsibility in her passion for helping listeners build their skills. She is now the Ambassador of the Active Listening Grading Team, but has been diligently involved even before that in its path to success. She has created guides and a strong team of graders, including recently onboarding three Project Agents to help with furthering the Active Listening cause. Always full of great ideas, we anticipate so many more awesome ones in the future! Thank you for all their hard work so far! Congratulations is well deserved!

IA has been a part of the community since 2016. She has been involved in various teams over the years such as Addiction Subcomm, Peer Support, and a CML for Addiction. Her current work has been helping to lead the Anonymous Evaluations Team. With her help, we have been rebuilding and streamlining processes to reach even greater results for listener quality. We are excited to have her join us in a higher level leadership position where she can further explore her talents and leadership across the domain. She will be helping to oversee the Anonymous Evaluations Team with @RebekahRoyal and @Midnightraven999. Her first step was to help determine a new quota for the team on her first day, so we look forward to all the great things she will achieve! Please give her a grand welcome :)
Active Listening Test Update

...See more Hello everyone, Today I want to share some key updates on the Active Listening Tests 1-4. CM team and AL Leaders were figuring out better ways to strengthen and optimize the Active Listening Tests process to be better, swifter and helpful to develop better understanding of active listening skills. Active Listening Skills are the core skill to serve and support in the community. AL Tests are one of the ways to improve the listening skills. But, due to certain ongoing challenges and limitations, we weren’t able to process the tests quickly and offer better feedback at the earliest. But, we believe with the implementation of the following updates, we will be able to process active listening tests at a much faster rate and provide timely feedback and support. Instant Feedback. We are introducing two layered feedback process. First will be a form based standard feedback instantly after you submit the test. Second, a Mentor will reach out to you with detailed feedback once your test get graded. With this change, you would be able to know what areas you need to improve and what steps you can take to achieve it. Better Processing Time. All the tests will be getting processed within 5-7 business days. Here processed refers to: * Grading the tests, * Badging the specific badge, if you successfully completed the test * Providing feedback More Coverage on Feedback Giving. More Mentors will be joining us to help us with better coverage on providing timely feedback. It means you will be able to take timely steps to work towards improving specific skills. Less Requirements to Take the Test. We are removing the requirement of having specific badge in order to take specific test. You may able to attempt another test even if your first test is under process. It means no longer waiting period to attempt more tests to measure your understanding of listening skills. It will enable more timely support and guidance. Tip: Please attempt all the tests 1-4 in the order. It will give you the better understanding. Contact Information. We will be including contact information to ensure you can reach out to the leaders with your questions, concerns, feedback or anything in between and get timely response. We hope that you find these updates helpful. We are committed to provide you better guidance, information and support. AL tests offer an opportunity to learn and improve. Anonymous Evaluations Team Restructure

...See more Hello! After a year of the Anonymous Evaluations Team, we've worked out the strengths and weaknesses. Effective immediately, we will be cutting the Feedback portion and revamping it into an educational portion. The reason is purely because it just wasn't working the way we hoped. Instead, we will take the data we gather and use it to inform our quality processes going forward, as well as any listener learning initiatives. I have updated the application and all forum posts related to it to reflect this change.
