Our Favorite Affirmations
Affirmations are short, generally positive, statements or phrases that can help challenge negative or challenging thoughts. Affirmations work by leading to long-term changes in the way we think and feel, and so many people find them helpful.
While there may be many affirmations you can look up on the internet for several topics, writing your own affirmation for yourself, generally or for a specific challenge, can be powerful on its own.
Do you have an affirmation that helps you? Please share it in this thread so that we can collect our favorite/most useful affirmations.
@SoulfullyAButterfly
one favorite affirmation of mine is to assure myself to learn from the past, while being mindful of the present
Whatever life takes a way from you, let it go.
It's OK to sometimes need some rest.
I am made in the image of God, chosen; therefore all things are possible for me and I can not fail.
I dont need to depend on other people to be happy. :)
Change can be difficult but let our mind be open enough to accept it.
@SoulfullyAButterfly youre doing great!
I am a Covid-19 long hauler [First Covid-19 infection was in March 2020]
1) My service dog, Sweetie Precious Phillips, contracted his first
Covid-19 infection was in March 2020.
2) ) My service dog, Sweetie Precious Phillips, died in October 2021 from Covid-19
complications.
3) I was in the hospital for a month [Start date : 0ctober 8, 2021] with Covid-19.
I was on the Cancer / Hematology floor. My good friends who used to live in my
apartment building, came to visit me several times. One of my friends, a female,
came to my rescue after I texted her : "Please help me".
4) In memory of my deceased service dog, Sweetie Precious Phillips, I the Rainbow Bridge
pet loss poem :
"Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
