sorry , but 2-3 topics grabbed my attention . for every topic i chose i have experienced one way or another so i will just tell you why
1) Emotional abuse - it includes a small topic gaslighting that has literally no solution till date anywhere other than getting away from the gaslighter which is not a solution in itself but anyways
2) family - the one sub topic that caught my attention is family therapy , people only go to therapy when things on extreme end when they can solve it before
3)relationships - just that it seems a diverse topic that hides too many stories with it.
@SoulfullyAButterfly
Here are 3 topics I am interested in:
-
Depression (signs and symptoms, postpartum depression, seasonal depression, other types, causes, treatment, supporting someone with depression)
2. Physical Abuse (signs, effects, types)
3) Emotional Abuse (signs, emotionally abusive relationships, parents, cycle, effects, role of gaslighting, types, healing)
These are all things I have experienced and I think it would be really interesting to learn more about them or to write about them. I also have a huge interest in researching about depression and different types!
@amiableBunny4016
Experiencing something or seeing it in someone we know broadens our understanding of it.
Hello, these are the topics that I'm interested in:
1. COVID-19: The reason why I'm choosing this topic is that one of my lowest points in life is during COVID-19. I have my adulting phase in my early 20s (age of 20-23) during COVID-19. Looking back, it's funny how I've experienced my university graduation, getting my first full-time job, changing careers, finding new hobbies, managing my financial issues, and coping with loneliness due to social distancing and adulting during COVID-19. It will be great if I can share my insights. However, do let me know if the topic will be updated as the pandemic is getting better.
2. Relationships: My circle of friends and I have dealt with this issue. We have been in a phase where we find ourselves getting into an unsupportive relationship, leaving it, and coping with the emptiness we felt. We have shared a lot of insights on this together and helped support each other. I'm still learning, but I do hope I can also learn more by exploring this topic.
3. Self-esteem: After the issue of COVID-19 and relationships, I lost my self-esteem. It's tough because, for the first time in my life, I started to hate a part of me that I've never hated. I'm thankful that I manage to build it back again step-by-step. It will be great if I can share some insights and build this topic so that I can learn together as well.
Mention which area you are interested in developing content for: physical disability
@Angelzz127
Lived experience and truly understanding what it's like, or using what you've gone through to better imagine the reality of others, can be such an advantage for those who are seeking support from you in that area. ♥︎
@Angelzz127 Wonderful! I can't wait to read your writing as I too have a physical disability. Lived experience provides such valuable insight into a topic 😊

I am passionate about these topics for various reasons - my passion leads to my desire to stay on top of the developments of our furthered understanding and treatment of these issues. I believe I feel confident enough to speak regarding them and engaging with others in discussion - to educate, empathize, relate, validate and also to empower.
I have some clinical experience applying CBT-based philosophies in treating clients in my care, as well as Positive Psychology. I also have some experience in developing a consequential series within a curriculum for substance abuse/addiction and Recovery - Recovery, as I define with all of my former clients, to be the transformation of ourselves where we work toward removing our barriers and allow ourselves to see, and walk in, our Greatness, to pursue our most fulfilling lives.

Hello, Zaati! Wow, what amazing aspirations you have! 🌟 I can definitely see you have immense passion for these content focus areas. Having experience will be helpful for content development for sure. Best of luck! 💙
@SoulfullyAButterfly
I am interested in writing about LGBTQ issues, addiction/substance use, stress, and ADHD.
I chose these topics because I have personal experience with them and I enjoy writing from the perspective of someone with lived experience on the topics. In addition, I would possibly like to write an article about disabilities and self-advocacy although it is not a topic that's listed. I would also like to write a plain language version of my article so it's easier for people with learning disabilities to read.
@VinylFly Also, plain language can be helpful for folks who are learning a new language :)
@VinylFly
This is a good list. You might want to narrow it down to one or two to start out with so you are not overwhelmed thinking about all of them.
I am interested in writing about eating disorders (in particular, not wanting to eat, aka anorexia), as I have had several members approach me for help with this issue and it is quite difficult for people to deal with.
@SoulfullyAButterfly
Maternal. Anxiety around raising a healthy and happy child. I am an anxious mother.
@JusticiaPrimalDorogo Perinatal mood disorder to be exact.
@JusticiaPrimalDorogo
Can you explain what that is
@SoulfullyAButterfly
mention which area you are interested in developing content for and why.
I think I would be interested in developing content for depression and anxiety. Why? For the simple reason that I have had quite a bit of an experience, experiencing depression and anxiety both and healing myself from these two conditions too years ago. Apart from this, I would be able to contribute better as I am in the field of mental health itself and I have studied about these conditions in depth.
@starsnnights
Great topics and great insights! I would be happy to read about it.
@SoulfullyAButterfly
I would like to write content related to self-esteem, stress and loneliness because I had experienced it during my teenage years.
@blindDaisy9121
Those are intriguing topics and nothing like getting interesting in something that you yourself have gone through and want to know more about. Maybe it would be helpful to learn coping skills for these as well.
