It's Mindful Monday!
A brief explanation of mindfulness -
Psychology Today states "Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention to the
present. This state is described as observing one’s thoughts and feelings without
judging them as good or bad."
Let's try out an activity as a group!
You can call this one "Three Senses"
Three Senses allows you to experience right now
through sight, sound, and touch.
Take a few breaths and ask yourself:
1. What are 3 things that I can hear?
ex: car horn, wind, music, a click ticking
2. What are 3 things I can see?
ex: your cat/dog, a table, sign
3. What are 3 things I can feel?
ex: the chair I'm sitting on, the floor under my feet,
my phone in my pocket.
I will go first!
1. 3 things I can hear - beats, drums and a cough
2. 3 things I can see - my blanket, TV and clothes
3. 3 things I can feel - my bed I'm sitting on, an itch, my hands touching each other.

a touchscreen, breathing in cool air, the chair
This is hard but i wilk try
i can hear the tv, the rattling of the fan, and the thoughts in my head that wont shut up
i can see the window, the booshelf, the desk
i van feel the itchy blanket on my feet, the cold air from the fan, the softness of the pillow

❤️ I can hear someone laughing outside, the traffic and my keyboard. I can see my books, my bed and the sky. I can feel my pillow, my blanket and my cat using me as a pillow ❤️
