...See more Hi everyone, I just joined, and I write a blog about "Transitioning to a Healthier Lifestyle". Let me know any tips or ideas you have on simple ways to cut unhealthy habits and to live a healthier and more active lifestyle.  Tip #1: start cutting down on fast food stops.  I know it's quick and easy, but it's very unhealthy.  Pack an apple, banana, or granola bar to hold you over until you can get something healthier!!

Walking instead of using car

...See more Hello everyone😁 I hope you are having a good day In fact, because I do not exercise much due to depression, haha, but I always try when I can, and when there is a suitable atmosphere, and also such a beautiful view of gardens and nature, to take advantage of this by walking instead of riding the car as a type of exercise, and it also improves the mood.  It clears my head of thoughts, and the most important thing is breathing fresh air, haha. I don’t know. I’m trying to find things that will help me find a healthy life in addition to not feeling bored when doing them. I would be happy to hear your experiences as well. Tulip🌷😇🙏
Small achievements celebration

...See more Hello everyone! As I've been through depression the previous 2 months, I claimed a helpful tip that could elevate my mood better than before. The tip is "Celebrating small achievements".  It can be getting up from sleep early, finishing homework, having a healthy meal after a long time of unhealthy eating, losing 1 kg, succeeding in a simple exam, etc. There are more examples of the small achievements we can have daily and they truly exist every day!  For me, I'm working on a project that requires marketing and reaching millions of audiences while I'm just a junior at marketing. All I have done is celebrate every 1 or 2 views, listens, plays, or likes on social media and my website visits.  How can we celebrate? It is important to choose who we can celebrate our achievements with. Having good company of people who would love to see our happiness and cheerful moments can bring more joy to our celebrations. I wanted to share this tip as it could help me get out of a bad depression cycle. Now, I encourage you all to enjoy, write down your achievements, and acknowledge them every day. I wanted to share one of my achievements which is my past 2 years of music streams which I didn't even think of celebrating. So, I wanted to celebrate them with you :)

Cheri’s Connection Corner - Walking for Beginners 👟👟👟

...See more Good day beautiful Cupsers in the Healthy Living Community! 👟👟👟👟👟👟 Walking is an excellent form of exercise for beginners due to its accessibility and low impact on joints. It offers numerous benefits such as improved cardiovascular health, strengthened muscles and bones, weight management, and enhanced mood and mental well-being. To start walking as a beginner, it's best to begin gradually and progressively increase intensity and duration over time. Here are some tips: * Start Slow: Begin with a comfortable pace that allows you to walk and talk comfortably. * Warm-Up: Always warm up with some gentle stretching before you start walking. * Proper Footwear: Wear comfortable, supportive shoes suitable for walking. * Posture: Maintain good posture—keep your head up, back straight, and shoulders relaxed. * Hydrate: Drink water before and after your walk to stay hydrated. * Cool Down: Finish your walk with a few minutes of slower walking and more stretching. Now, here are six questions you might have about walking: * How many steps per day do you aim for as a beginner walker? * What are your best times of day to go for a walk? * How can you stay motivated to walk regularly? * Do you track my walking progress, and if so, how? * Are there specific stretches you do before and after walking? * What are some safety tips for walking outdoors, especially alone?

...See more Sooo today was my first day at the gym! I’ve been wanting to enroll and work on my physical health and kinda my appearance, but I never found the right time. I went with a couple of coworkers and my sister and yeah! Although I only did the treadmill, it still feels so amazing to start! 35 minutes on it! I lost track of how many miles lol
Any recommendations for mentally healthy workout channels?

...See more Hi everyone, I've been on the lookout for a YouTube channel or content creator who focuses on workout videos that are genuinely beneficial for mental health. Someone who doesn't emphasise weight loss, calorie counting, or appearance, but rather focuses on feeling good and overall well-being. If you know of any channels or creators who fit this description, I'd greatly appreciate your recommendations. Thanks in advance for your help! 🫶

Cheri’s Connection Corner - The Benefits of Walking 🚶🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

...See more Good day Healthy Living Cupsers🚶🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ Walking is an exercise you can do anywhere and it doesn’t require special equipment. It is one of the easiest ways to get active.  The benefits of walking are many!  Where to walk is a serious consideration depending on weather! Inside you can use a treadmill or indoor spaces to walk such as malls or walking tracks (here where I live hockey rinks have an indoor walking track).  Some prefer outside irregardless of temperatures. There are beautiful scenery and hiking trails and community parks that are beyond spectacular!  Who are the walkers in this community?? If you don’t currently walk would you like to start??  Where do you enjoy walking? What are your walking goals as how many times did how long to walk? (If new start small and increase over time!)  Do you prefer to walk alone or with others? Do you listen to music 🎶or podcasts when you walk?  Do you track your walking on an app or do you walk at set times of the week or steps daily?   Do you feel better walking as part of your day to day?

...See more Good day heslthy living Cupsers!! 🙌🙌🙌💕💕💕💕 2024 is a great year to get into good habits. Movement is a great one. Walking is fabulous you don’t need any special equipment and you have choices either inside places when the weather is inclement such indoor walking facilities or malls or a walking workout at home or on a treadmill.  I love walking outdoors in nature. Check out resources in your community like trails and walking tracks in your backyard or even walk in your community.  There is something about it is very good for the soul. It can become addictive … YES you heard right!  Once you get into the habit you will absolutely enjoy the benefits of calories burned and how it can help meet your goals in 2024 whether that be better sleep, 😴 or toning or improved health status.  If walking is a habit you would like to build here is a challenge for YOU. It takes time to build a new habit so this challenge guides you through 30 days.  Are you a Walker? Where do you prefer to walk??  How many minutes do  you typically walk and how much distance do you cover??
