Michigan Overwhelmed
Just feeling a bit lonely today. Life is crazy with work and home chores. Looking to find a group of ladies interested in talking/meeting for lunch etc. Is that crazy to ask online. LOL. Interested, in southeastern Michigan.
@Cheri32. They don’t allow that on this site. I know people who have used meetup.com to meet people for get togethers. My local library has meetings . It might be worth a try to check in your area.

ok, sorry....
@Cheri32. No apologies necessary. I just wanted to let you know.
@Cheri32. I’ve been thinking the same thing (finding some people to meet for coffee or lunch).

Hi no it not crazy, to ask online many meet online to get support. We in Northern Michigan. Not any places to meet others. Other then at church and many of them not understand mental illness and disabilities. But have went to small groups at church we go too. So most our support is online. It a blessing to find places like 7cups. Hope you will find many others,to help you not feel as lonely too.
@stormieandpawsI used to live up north, miss and love it. Where about?
@Cheri32
not going to give city. but it not far from the mighty Mack and UP. we say about a hour from there maybe little less. we use to live about 90 min from were we live now. but moved away about 7 and 1/2 years ago. for first time in our life we free of daily abuse. due to we moved away from family. yes it can get lonely at times and also can be hard at times. mostly due to others who do not understand. we been told we awful for moving away from our parents who are not in good health. we also live with many not believing us. saying we was a happy joyful child. this due to we kelp the secrets for many many years. we will be 55yr in February. better to be lonely then to be in abuse daily, hope you doing ok today,
@Cheri32
Hey there! I hope you're able to find connections on here and also find people in real life :) As others mentioned, MeetUP is a great place to find local events!
Websearch "Red Hat society"...see if there are any chapters in your area. Many middle-aged & older ladies in it.
@Cheri32
It's difficult to find a group that fits, but I hope you find one. I'm in that SE MI area, and there are plenty of groups around - you just need something that works for you. Check with your local library, and check with your Parks and Rec/Community center as well.
I have also been looking for a local group, but I'm trying to find a group dealing with anxiety issues, and that has been completely impossible. I'm thinking I'm going to have to start one!
