Hello! I’m a new listener on 7 Cups, though have always been the one friends and family come to. I have a keen interest in all things related to psychology and mental health and have been pondering a career as a counselor. Areas I have the most experience with are parenting/ family issues, relationship issues, trauma, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, anxiety, and depression, with some carryover into substance abuse. When I’m not here, I’m often reading or writing. I’ve personally had a difficult path and have found that learning as much as possible about human behavior and the causes of mental health issues has helped me heal, pick up coping skills, and move on.
