I am a 26 year old scottish women living in kuwait, looking to support more people through managing issues. I have a Bachelors of science degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Glasgow Caledonian. I have a passion for psychology that I feel I need to put to better use. Living in kuwait it is hard to find ways to help through the field of mental health and psychology due to the low demand needed here. Not having my masters degree really hinders my accreditation and becoming a mother has put a halt to my career or education for now but nevertheless I still want to use my knowledge, understanding and most importantly empathy to help in any way i can. I am also doing personal projects to increase my knowledge such as marriage counselling courses and CBT. I have experience working in care homes for people with learning disabilities which i feel gives me a good basis for understanding how to navigate different clientele and awareness of boundaries and sensory issues. I would love to join this organization and be of use.  My main approach to mental health counselling is to use a holistic approach, starting with CBT and shadow work.
