Perfect therapy for people who need help. I would like to say, I never can imagine it could be possible to heal people like that

Because scars are still in the healing process for a long time. When body wounds are in the process of healing, they itch.

Were they ever infected, and how deep are they? You might have hit something . What color is the scar?

Itching means they are healing. Healing takes time. If you're really worried about it, it may be time to see a doctor.

Because of the scab that is trying to form it will stop eventually. However, in the meantime try not to itch it because that will worsen it.

They're probably trying to heal up. If they're recent, they itch during the healing process. If they're already healed, it could be because you know you're there, and you could be self-conscious of them.

Scars are like a bump. Theyre there and they itch. Even tho they are healing and going away they will still itch

Scars may itch from urges to self harm again or some times if you feel something that you felt at the time you inflicted them, they will feel itchy or tingly because your body is familiar with the feeling. Try and refrain from inflicting more on yourself. Don't scratch at them if they itch, maybe just rub them gently.

It's part of the healing process..It may be also due in part to some dryness of the skin overlying the scar.

That tends to happen on areas where skin or tissue was damaged. In time when the skin completely heals, they'll just stop itching. Even if it's been a while since they healed, the process might not be complete. Make sure you moisturise and just be very gentle with the skin.

Your scars still itch because the tissue is actually still healing and blood is moving throughout the scars. That's why a reopened scar tissue bleeds more than a new scrape.

Itching is a sign of the body healing itself, Scars will continue to change shape and size as the healing process continues. This is normal, but it will eventually stop with time.

In my experience I found that this was all part of the healing process. It's our bodies way of repairing itself

Your scars will itch because they are healing and because your wearing long sleeves.they aren't used to healing

It might be because the tool you used wasn't clean which could have cause an infection. Not really sure but that could be a big cause as to why they still itch.

Your scars may still itch due to a psychological effect. Your brain sees that there's on your skin, so it tries to compensate for that.

Sometimes if a scar is not fully healed (and has a scab still) it'll itch, it'll take a while to heal. don't pick the scab. Or you get a worse scar.

They have to heal properly, that's probably what makes it itch. But don't worry, it's just your body trying to heal you :)

When scars itch it means it hasn't healed fully. After it heals completely, then the itching should stop. But if it doesn't after it's completely healed, then something might be wrong and I would suggest seeing a doctor about it.

Scars can take a while to heal. Itching is probably cause by inflamation in the skin of the scar. As the scar heals, the itching will decrease

This is known as chronic itch. Itching can be caused by the scar being inflamed. If it gets unbearable you should go see a doctor but if not don't worry this is normal.

Scars often itch as they heal! If they get to be too bad, I'd recommend covering them with a bandaid to keep yourself from scratching at them.

It's normal for them to itch for years. A wound healing is a very long and complicating process. The process can ultimately last for months or even years, depending on exactly where it is on the body, what type of tissue it is, and the kind of use that the tissue receives in terms of daily stretching and exposure to the environment. But in general, since sensation in and around the affected area comes from nerve endings (there are no nerve endings inside scar tissue ... but there are all around scars), itching comes from stimulation of those endings. In early healing, such stimulation can come from the processes of healing itself. But later, the mechanical stretching of scar tissue next to normal tissues can stimulate nerve endings and cause an itching sensation. This is assuming there is no inflammation around the healed tissue. That's only a plain explaination out of many, but when your scars itch is something normal for your body.

They take a long time to heal. New skin tissue is always growing which can make it keep itching. It's normal unless it stays red, inflamed, or filled with pus, in which case it's likely you have an infection.

It depends on how fresh they are. If they are fairly recent it is natural for them to itch, especially if they are scars from scratching. There are different creams you can use that help out. If your scars are old and still itchy, they could be infected. It's important you clean a wound once it's open, because it's very easy for unwanted bacteria to get in.

That's just a natural part of healing; they can be years old and scar tissue still itches. It is normal, try something like calamine lotion on them to ease the itching.
