Perfect therapy for people who need help. I would like to say, I never can imagine it could be possible to heal people like that

They are still healing even though they are scars!! new skin is still groing. they also may be dried out. Putting lotion on them should help!

I'm not sure I can say mine do too, and they're almost invisible. I've tried moisturizing and it does help a bit.
Your scars probably still itch because your body is still trying to heal where the cuts were or it could be something environmental effecting that area of your body.
because they are healing just like your battle with self harm (: its getting better. its normal doesn't mean anything bad
Itching may be due to the healing process, or some dryness of the skin overlying the scar. It is partly to due to the fact that small nerve endings that were damaged are growing back into the area. Even after they have healed they may itch for a while. If they stretch they will also itch. Check with your doctor about obtaining a good moisturiser.

It might be because they are still in a healing process. But if you feel there is something off, you should go get them checked by a profesional
That is a problem that is not uncommon maybe if it gets too irritating see a professional to see if they can offer something to help! Do not stress about it thought it is very normal.

Probably because your skin is healing. You breaking the skin will make it hurt and burn (which is why most people do it) Just leave it be.
Scars can itch for a while after they're fresh, they will eventually stop hurting/ itching but it can take a while in some situations, it also depends on severity of the scar etc.

Scars take a long time to heal; depending on the severity of the wound it can take a few days, weeks, or maybe longer. Over time the skin closes and repairs itself, and this can be the cause of some itching.
After the healing has occurred there may be thick scarring at the wound site, called keloid scarring. This is usually the result of a moderate wound that healed. There are many reasons why scars may itch after a long period; if these become problematic speak to your family doctor or a dermatologist.
Depends on the depth of the cut or the size of the place you have scars, with the nerves being cut that while they try to heal, sometimes it just cant happen so it will cause an itching sensation, that scratching just doesnt help

It's the healing process our bodies naturally go through and when your skin is trying to heal together any type of movement can open the cut and may cause problems
You're scare could be itching because it's healing. The injured area is closing up, the tissues that were damage are healing, and the size and texture could be changing.
My dad used to say Itching is the way of body communicating that the scars are being healed; guess same is true for mental scars. But we need to remember that tempering with Itching scar will only open wound and make it worse so the best way to deal with Itching scar is to let it itch or if that's too frustrating distract by doing some nice pleasant activities.
Its probably the razor blade that affected the skin or the wounds are still in the process of healing.
Well, the scars basically represent a part of your body that you've tampered with, and itching is very common. Don't worry, they have healed- all you need to do is put on some calamine to get rid of the itch and soothe the skin. :)

Itching on an injury like a scrape or a cut usually means that it's still healing, so your scars might still be healing, which can happen.
That might be because they are healing, also make sure you are putting scar cream on your scars to speed up the healing process :)
Scars are wounds that are healed, sometimes, when they haven't healed right they need to be opened to be allowed to heal properly.
It is a well know fact that while the scar is in healing process it itch a bit, so it might be the case.
The healing process is not over yet and new skin is still being made. It will end soon, do not worry :)

Anyone who has deep scrapeor similar wound that results in a scar has most likely experienced extreme itchiness and a tight feeling as it heals itching around the site of the scar is tipically due to normal healing of the tissue which depends on how deep the wound is it evwn may take more time to heal on the inside layers of the tissue more than the outside layers of your skin
It is a part of normal healing process. People experience itching in places of their scars due to contraction while the traces are being healed. Sometimes it could just be due to dryness of your skin over your scar. It should go away soon.
You could have an infection. It depends on how recent your self-harm episode(s) was and how often you did it. It also depends on how clean you kept the area. Do NOT scratch it, and be sure to clean the area at least once a day.
I believe that my scars still itch because they are reminding me of what happened in the past. When I was alone and afraid and had nothing else left. They remind me that now I can be free of self harm.

Sometimes its a subconscious thing. Mime still itch sometimes too, but only ever when they are out on show. I'm no doctor, but I think you panic (subconsciously) and, think about it, while you scratch it covers your scars. However, scarred skin is also very sensitive so it could be due to your environment.
Generally, our scars take a while to heal and itching indicates that they are healing. You're on your journey to recovering and that's amazing 😊
Perhaps it is a placebo effect. Memories can trigger physical feelings, as can smells and sights. You may be remembering the healing process, even as your wounds are already healed.
