You yourself can only know if you truly are, but their are many other gender identities than just transgender, you may want to look into. No one but you can define who you are.
If you feel the gender that you were assign to at birth doesn't suite you then it's possible you could be a transgender. If you feel you're mentally a different from what your gender appears to be physically that's another way to look and see if you're a transgender.
The only way to "know" is if YOU feel like you are more comfortable embodying the opposite gender. If you feel you are more yourself being or portrayng yourself as the opposite gender, you can say youre transgender.
Look at yourself in the mirror. Start by asking yourself if you feel your outsides match the way you feel on the inside. If not, you could be experiencing gender dysphoria.

When you feel like you were born in the wrong body. When you know deep in your heart that the outside of your body does not match what you have in the inside
You may feel that you are more comfortable expressing yourself as a gender other than the gender you were born or assigned at birth. This gender might be the "opposite" of the gender you were born or assigned, or it might be neither male nor female but something else entirely! You may feel extremely uncomfortable with the gender-specific parts of your body. For example, you may have breasts and prefer not to have them. Or, you might not feel uncomfortable with your gender-specific body parts and, at the same time, feel a deep need to have other body parts. You may feel more comfortable relating to people who perceive you as the gender you see yourself. You may simply feel you would be more truly yourself in another gender. People who are transgender may feel any or all of these emotions.
Just look at your private part, and if there is two of each private part, that means you are one.
Some people don't feel like they belong in the the skin that they were born in.. They feel as though they were placed inside of the wrong vessel and they are floating through life inside someone's body besides their own. This is typically because they are in the wrong gender. If this is the case, it is normal and you may in fact be trans.
When you feel that you are more fit to have feminine or masculine body than what you are already in. Also, a simple trip to a psychiatrist can be helpful if you are in question of who you are.
Transgender can be many things. A common feeling would be dysphoria. That would be if you feel unhappy with your birth genitailia. Another thing is the picture you have of yourself in your head. For most people the pucture in their head is what they want to look like. You don't have to have either of theses to be transgender but these are common signs

Well transgender doesnt mean your are a gay or bisexual. if you like your self imagining in the opposite gender constantly than you can say you are a trangender.
If you feel like you're a male, then you are. It's that simple. Never let anyone tell you that you shouldn't / don't feel that way.

I knew when I found that I didn't like having a male body or wear men clothes. I soon discover that I identified as a woman rather than as a man. It was hard to accept at times, but over time I accepted that I identified as a woman.
If you feel as though you are not the same gender as your body's sex, then that would make you transgender. However, transgender can also mean you have gone from a male sex to female, or vice versa. These two statements can often be mistaken for each other, and cause confusion and offense to certain parties. Be cautious when stating your transgender state of being, as others may not understand which trans you may be referring to.

If you feel that your gender identity does not match the one assigned to you at birth, you're transgender. Transgender people are people whose gender is the opposite of their sex. Gender is what you mentally identify as and sex depends on your genitalia and genetics.
Only you really know can know an answer to this. Experiment... Talk to someone close, if none? There's always 7 cups. And remember to breathe, no matter the outcome, every identity needs to learn appreciation and confidence within themselves.
First you need to ask yourself, Why am I even asking this question? Are you uncomfortable with your current gender role? If you are, then you need to find what makes you happy? Transgender comes in many shapes and forms, you don't have to fully change yourself. You dont have to label yourself....you just need to do what makes you happy.
Being transgender is something you can feel inside you. Feeling like you don't belong in your body. It is the way you think, act, and feel. Being transgender just doesn't happen automatically. It is a deep feeling that you are out of place in your own body. I hope that helps clarify.
You feel uncomfortable in your body. You start relating to the opposite gender more(you may or may not also feel attracted towards either gender). You feel out of place in your body, and you feel that you're meant to be the opposite gender.
The feeling of gender is different in everyone. When I was young, I just felt like I wanted to be a boy. I didn't want to look like a girl in any way. That is how I knew. But how you label yourself in that sense is up to you. It's complicated, but we all find our way.
Speaking as a transgender male myself, I have this to say: It's a different experience for everyone! Some people discover when they're very young, and some don't until they're in their 50s and 60s. A common factor in transgender individuals is Gender Dysphoria, which can be categorized in multiple ways. I'd definitely say to look up Gender Dysphoria and see if the descriptions match you.
Gender expression can be fluid. An important thing to do when you are questioning a piece of your identity is to learn as much as you can about the subject you are questioning and then about yourself. Take some time to learn more about gender and gender expression. Read more about all of the different gender identities there are and then examine your own feelings and behavior. See if any of the genders you have learned about fit you in some way. Try not to stress about knowing exactly what gender you are because your ideas and feelings can change as you notice more things about yourself or learn more about gender. You don't have to fit perfectly into a box, so seek to feel more comfortable with yourself and your gender and not to know exactly what gender you are right away. Don't feel that you need to know everything all at once, give yourself time to process your new findings. Gender is just one small part of life, but if it is confusing or important to you it is worth taking some time to try and understand.

There are a few tips I can give:
- Listen to yourself and give yourself enough time to figure it out;
- Look up some information online about transgenders and gender Dysphoria;
- Read about other transgender's experiences online, or watch videos about it;
- Try to get in contact with someone who's transgender and talk about it;
- Talk about it with someone you trust: friends, a counsellor, a Listener, ...
You will find the answer at your own pace!
Most people will already have a feeling from very young about being the wrong gender. You may feel unhappy with your body, dislike traditionally gender specified activities or subjects. You may also have bad body confidence especially with the way your body shows your gender.
Honestly, it's not something I can answer, that's something you will have to find out for yourself. I think it might help to listen to how you feel. You're not pressured to make a decision, and you are who you want to be.

ransgender people feel that the gender to which they were born, or assigned at birth, does not fit them. Transgender people include people born female who identify as male (female-to-male) and people born male who identify as female (male-to-female).

A Transgender person is typically described as a man born in a woman's body, or a woman born in man's body. This means that if you feel that you're a woman, but you're biologically a man (and vice versa) you might identify as transgender. Just know that you don't have to label yourself at all if you don't want to. You don't need to explain yourself to anyone, just be happy in yourself.
you will know if your transgender if you fell wrong in your skin and I don't mean you don't like the size of your thighs or your nose I mean you dislike your whole body and that you genuinely fell as tho your the opposite gender
