Getting started

CatDaddy60 June 30th

Hi,

Glad to find 7 Cups. I'm still a little bit nervous about this type of environment, though I'm hopeful that I can let some things out and I haven't been able to share fully. Have a lot of shame and guilt it's been holding me back.  I need a safe place.

Thanks

Hi, Lola,

Thank you for the nice reply. I guess one of my major concerns is being safe and knowing that my information is confidential, because as I noted earlier I'm afraid of sharing things from my past that I know I need to get out and be dealt with. I've never told anybody some major things that need to be told and address.. That worries me. I also know I need to develop some concrete techniques and steps to protect myself from myself.

Peace,

Paul

@CatDaddy60 I understand that, I'm in a simiar situation. I gotta be careful what information I give out about my past. Cause of it gets in the wrong hands I could put myself in serious danger. I'm guessing this is the case for you too😥 I'm sorry sweetie. 1-1 chats are the safest, forums are awsome, but not sure they are really confidential. I'm right here if you need me ❤hugs you tightly

@CatDaddy60 Hi Rob, welcome to 7 Cups!

It’s completely natural to feel nervous in a new environment, especially when it comes to sharing personal struggles. The fact that you’re here shows tremendous courage and a desire to heal, which is a powerful first step.

Shame and guilt can be heavy burdens to carry, but opening up about them in a supportive space can help lighten that load. Remember, everyone has their own battles, and seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness. You deserve a safe place to express yourself and work through your feelings.

Finding hope in the midst of struggle can be challenging, but it's also essential. Every small step you take towards sharing and healing is a victory. Look for the moments of brightness in your day, no matter how small they may seem. These moments can remind you that there is light, even in the darkest times.

Believe in your capacity for growth and change. You are not defined by your past or by your struggles. You have the strength within you to create a brighter future. Take things one step at a time, and be gentle with yourself. Healing is a journey, not a destination.

With empathy and hope,

I was thinking a little bit about God, the Creator. He just said and it was created. "Let there be light" and so forth. (Don't be scared - you and I are not God, but it's good if our words can have the power to do/mean good - lol - the highest thoughts I have been thinking for a while).

That’s a beautiful thought about the power of words and creation. It’s amazing to think how God’s words brought everything into existence. While we are not God, our words do hold power and can create positive changes in our lives and the lives of others.

Striving to use our words to uplift, encourage, and spread kindness is such a wonderful goal. It’s inspiring to consider how our thoughts and words can reflect the highest good we aim for in our lives. Thanks for sharing this perspective – it’s a lovely reminder of the impact we can have...

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful written. Maybe it is true what some say; "We are Gods coworkers." (I don't like to think high about myself so I feel a bit daring/respectful/shy in saying this).

Hi. Hi.

I'm Helga from Norway, very old - 71 years old. I always like to talk about Jesus Christ and God. Your problems can be enlightened from different sides. So I take the spiritual one. All your words can be said/written to God. He knows what sin is. He also sent his son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins, shame and guilt. You can place it all on him. If we believe that we're completely clean and rightous before God.
