Day 4: Daily Mental Health Check-in
It’s common for us to schedule a routine visit to the doctor when we aren’t feeling our best, so it should be common for us to check-in with our mental health to ensure that we are physically, mentally, and emotionally in tune.

I am mentally and physically EXHAUSTED today.

What’s taking up most of my headspace?
My mother and sister in law both dealing with cancer, and me caregiving my grandfather in my Mother's absence on top of an already full plate i had.

reading. playing games. singing.
1. Physically I feel good, a little sore but I've been working out. Still getting over being sick but I'm OK. Mentally anxious, like I need to slow down but I can't because there's too much (there really isn't but that's how I feel)
2. I haven't heard from my therapist in weeks which isn't like her and my brain can't handle things being unfinished. I just want some closure.
3. I want to say neither. Just kinda here
4. I feel like my self care is out of balance. I work out, work my business, take care of kids, cook, clean. But I'm not actually giving back to myself

Im ok i guess, just under a lot of stress mentally with school and Physically i guess I'm fine.

No, not at all I focus more on school and concerts. Leaving little time for fun, friends, family and even self-care.

- How am I feeling today? (Mentally and Physically) Like an anxious potato.
- What's taking up most of my headspace? Anxiety, frustration, and an attempt to remember and practice gratitude, relaxation and balance.
- Have I felt more sad than happy lately? A bit hard to tell, but if I had to say so, then yes. I'm still struggling with my mental illnesses and what accompanies them: bad dreams, exhaustion, a whole load of baggage.
- Do you feel that your life is appropriately balanced between work, fun, friends, family, self-care, exercise, and other meaningful pursuits? Not quite yet. I'm trying to self-care more, but it's hard to do so without feeling like I'm shirking my responsibilities...especially since I am sometimes doing just that. 😅
- What is something that makes me feel joy? Quality time with my sweet boyfriend. 😊💘
I am feeling good mentally, but not so good physically because I got my booster shot today at school so my arm is really sore.

Yes, Maybe? I’m not really sure. I don’t have a job so…I’m not really sure. Plus I’m a freshman in high school so, yeah. LOL
Spending time with my friends, family, abs pets brings me joy.
Today I’m exhausted. Again. Trying to make your mind well is exhausting. Particularly when you overthink. Physically I’m also exhausted.
Most of my headspace revolves around self doubt. I don’t know why I venture there. People who know me say I’m strong. Independent. Admirable. I just can’t see that today.
I’m more of a smile on a stick these days. Sometimes trying to fake it ‘til you make it fails. (Wow-I sound like such a sad sap!)
My life is 100% completely imbalanced right now. Winter is not my best season. Covid is no one’s best season. My job sees so much suffering with my patients. All I end up with is a cup of sadness where peace should be.
I feel joy when I can spend time with my family. And when I can enjoy my yard (in non-winter months). And when my pets curl up with me.

- How am I feeling today? Agitated, anxious and spiraling out of control with my mood. Not sleeping for more than 3 1/2 to 4 hours a night isn’t helping the situation.
- What’s taking up most of my headspace? The incompetence of my behavioral health team from S. Florida that I had to fire because after 16 phone calls and 6 r/s appointments they still don’t care.
- Have I felt more happy than sad lately? About the same of both. I’m here far from home trying to get my mental health back in order but always obstacles in my way. I have only my daughter here and I’m in a very unfamiliar place.
- Do you feel your life is appropriately balanced between work, fun, friends, family, self-care, exercise and other meaningful pursuits? Absolutely not! I have nobody and nothing here. Don’t get me wrong, I have my daughter… she is my greatest joy and I am grateful for her letting stay with her while I am advocating for my mental health and undergoing the journey. But being alienated from friends and family has been extremely hard. I meditate, walk my dog and spend time outdoors as much as I can just to get out of my head.
- What is something that brings me joy?My boxer, Brock. He’s been my source of strength and has brought me out of very dark times over the years. My children and grandchildren too. At least I know I did something right in life, when I see the beautiful people that they have grown to be!
