Day 4: Daily Mental Health Check-in
It’s common for us to schedule a routine visit to the doctor when we aren’t feeling our best, so it should be common for us to check-in with our mental health to ensure that we are physically, mentally, and emotionally in tune.

How am I feeling today? (Mentally and Physically)
Mentally anxious and uncoordinated physically (not going about my day with intentions, been in auto-pilot)

What’s taking up most of my headspace?
My anxiety towards school workload, I'm afraid I'll be paralysed in fear and couldn't get anything done.

Have I felt more sad than happy lately?
Yes, but I generally feel happy for others - them just going about with their day, small/big wins etc, not so much for myself.

Do you feel that your life is appropriately balanced between work, fun, friends, family, self-care, exercise, and other meaningful pursuits?
No because I often tune out/shut down and zero in on school. I've been trying to make time for breaks, and do the things I used to enjoy, no matter how shitty I feel. Or find new things to do like listen to a new song etc.

What is something that makes me feel joy?
People? I feel better when I spend some time to people watch lol. Just watching them function despite maybe having their own private struggles, or just feeling contented with life, is inspiring enough.
How Am I feeling - For the first time in weeks I felt that I am not down. I still feel anxious about my weight gain during this quaratine since I have no access to gyms.
What's taking up most of my head space - the break up, my mistakes but I mostly try to figure out what caused them not how they made me feel.
Yep felt more sad than happy lately but I hope this is the beginning of my recovery.
My life feels balanced. More time and space since the break up. Using it to get in touch with old passions and my parents.
What makes me feel joy right now is focusing on my time with my parents and talking to friends.

a) My neck, head and chest hurts. My mind is sluggish and my motivation has gone. I’m feeling sad that I’m unable to do things.
•What’s taking up most of my headspace?
a) Un-useful stuff, however focusing on the present moment I feel an urge of motivation to get better.
•Have I felt more sad than happy lately?
a) Yes.
•Do you feel that your life is appropriately balanced between work, fun, friends, family, self-care, exercise and other meaningful pursuits?
a) No.
•What is something that makes me feel joy?
a) My passion and helping others be happy / seeing them successful… As of late my whole life as of right now has been eaten by the College Work Dragon, it stomps all over my happiness and eats everything and mostly all I have to ruminate on is my low mood. Most people I’ve spoken to at college knows it’s there, though they just don’t know how to defeat it.
Thankfully there are a few noble wizards in my life, that point me away from the dragon, so I can regain my strength and banish it later. My power comes from the heart, if I am able to harness the energy by helping those around me, I will be able to use the magic of kindness to heal myself and those around me.
May I focus on the good things in life, so I may be well equipped to tame the dragon (with loving peace and energy) and ride it to victorious grades. Yeehaw!
