The Richness of Love and Support: Member Appreciation Week
Hello community ❤️
This week is member appreciation week. We’ve set up this event especially for each of you. You make 7 Cups the special place it is, so we’re taking this week to honour your experiences, your empathy, your compassion, your support, and your honesty. 7 Cups is for you, and we want to take this opportunity to touch on a very special topic: love ❤️
Love can be a confusing thing to talk about, because of how abstract it can be. Perhaps you’ve wondered: how is it supposed to feel? Is it when you do something for other people? Is it something you chase?
So let’s break it down a little. Let’s start with you. If you’re not ready to open your heart to other people, then self-love is a good place to start learning about what love means to you.
Self-love means something different to each person. This means that love isn’t just a feeling. Love is a choice too. We might not be able to fully control our emotions, but we can certainly control the actions and routines we choose to have in our lives. No matter where you are right now, you can love yourself by choosing to do the things you know are good for you.
For you, maybe that looks like going for therapy. Maybe that looks like taking a break, or cutting out a negative influence in your life, or setting some healthy boundaries. Maybe it looks like ice cream and pizza for dinner (or breakfast, if I’m being honest with myself). Maybe it means taking a walk or reading a book or staying off the news and social media for a day or two.
You are the one who knows you best. Perhaps your heart is already whispering to you about some things you try. No matter what, I want you to know that this community is here for you ❤️ We’ll walk through this together, okay?

Thank you for the post! I have some days off-something-I-hate, so that helps a lot with my mood! To me, rainy days are the same as sunny days, but without the view I love. So, as any other day, I love to stay tranquil and enjoy whatever I'm doing (reading, playing, Cupsing... anything). Today, I want to respect my own routine and avoid the perpetuation of anxiety.

Be out in the rain! Or cuddle up on the couch and watch movies. But most definitely be out in the rain.

I already treated myself to some ice cream and it was delicious!

I am a little sad but overall I am not doing too bad

I love to color and watch movies under a blanket

Sushi, been craving it for so long!
1. Kinda good but slightly baffled by some ppl I know and too tired to contact others. 2. Rainy days are rare but I love listening to the rain and storms and especially from inside, with a blanket it’s quite cozy. It usually passes faster than I’d like but that’s ok. 3. I feel like today I’d like to treat myself to going outside, but I have no idea if it’ll happen. :)

Just how the climate is here, and just how things are going. Still quarantining and stuff
I usually reach out and we’ll I haven’t heard from em. Ambivert so I get my energy from ppl, reaching out all the times but not always hearing back and idk :(. I feel like they don’t want me to and then I have no energy. I do get to talk to some but, I rly wanna hear back from some ppl. But I feel like that’s too much to ask. Then I feel down. I reached out kinda once but ik they’re busy. Still I haven’t got any response so. Idk. I feel like I don’t have things that make me wanna be friends w me but maybe that way of thinking is panicky
The last day I heard from some ppl was last summer, or the new year, or last spring. And that’s not everyone. Idk

2. I just love rain a lot. Even, when the wind starts blowing before rain it's just awesome and cool. I love to walk in the rain. I prefer cooking snacks like French fries and hot soup it really feels good in this type of weather.❤❤

I mix my favourite hot chocolate ☕and will come to my room and open the window to watch the beautiful rain🌧️wash up my green gardens and i will put some nice calm music 🎼and then will lay down in my bed reading my favourite book 📖

Well i want something sweet 🍬to eat today

I love to hear the sound of rain and go to road trips!

A good sleep perhaps!
1. How are you? Sleepy :) But much better today compared to yesterday!
2. What are some of your favourite things to do on a rainy day? Read with the window open so I can hear the rain falling down and then fall asleep.
