New Guidelines regarding Age Regression - How does it affect the trauma support discussions?

audienta September 28th, 2023

Hello everyone,

As you might have seen, Heather announced new guidelines regarding age regression in rooms: link. It says that all members must have a host age and current alter age that falls within the established age requirements for participation on 7 Cups.

As that would exclude people with DID/OSDD-1 from participating in group support sessions, the trauma room is an exception: Younger alters are still allowed in the trauma support room during discussions, just not when the room is open without a discussion going (on Sundays).

If a child alter is very confused, not safe, or interrupting a discussion, it's recommended that they get invited into a 1-1 chat. In 1-1 chats younger alters are also allowed.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know (audienta).

Take care,

audienta

Thank you very much for clarifying, the last post sounded like it was a "choice" of when we switched out and when we did not. I appreciate your hardwork and dedication @audienta

This clarification makes more sense to me where the original guidance did not. Thank you.

This makes no sense, originally the trauma room opened 2 years ago ish for those with DID/OSDD so littles had a safe space, and now you are saying they aren't allowed when there is no discussion? 7cups should really make up their mind.

@WendyBird14

When the trauma room is open, there's most of the time a discussion happening. That means that most of the time littles are allowed. The only exception is Sunday, when there's not always a mod/host there that can keep the room safe.
