Trauma Support Community Check-in: Saturday, 26 December 2020
Hello everyone!
First, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! I hope you are doing great and that you are taking care of yourself and others. I wish you also happiness, health and love.
Now, I have a few questions for you, which will be answered by me too, hahaha. I really enjoy and love Holidays and Christmas and New Year! I am praying that 2021 will bring us happiness, prosperity and health. This little post up there was made by me. The style of font is not what I wanted it to be, but I had to convert it from SVG to JPG so that's why it came out this way, I hope you like it!
The usual question: How are you today, this week, this year?
I am doing good. This year had many ups and downs and I am definitely ready for a new one. I am enjoying this holiday we have in Serbia. The school was making me so sad and stressed :(.
Is there anything that you like about Holidays and what is that?
I love them! I love snow, I love the warmth of my own home, I love Christmas lunch and dinner and of course getting presents. Usually, I get some books and most of them weren't a surprise, because I tell my mom what to buy.
What is your ideal Christmas atmosphere?
My ideal is being with the people you love. No matter if they are family or not. They are making every place warm and beautiful. I am New Year's Eve spending by being covered up with my red comfy blanket, eating some fast food that I am going to order with my brother and watching Disney movies.
How did you spend your Christmas? And how will you spend your Christmas? (if you didn't have it yet)
This Christmas we won't be spending with our entire family because of Covid, but my mom is making a delicious lunch as she does every single year. Can't wait!
Even if you aren't religious, or you are in some other religion, share with us how will you spend these holidays?
That will be it for today. I hope you enjoyed answering these questions! Take care and stay safe!

I'm doing ok today. Christmas wasn't very eventful for me but that's ok. I had dinner with a friend so that was nice. There has been lots of upsetting feelings lately but I'm not exactly sure that why am I feeling the way that I'm feeling. There also has been some self blame feelings and inner conflict
Thank you for this checking in <3
@elizabethunter
First... I don't look at Christmas as being "Catholic" or focusing on a specific "Religion" so-to-speak... I think and feel that Christmas is for EVERYONE to celebrate who has it in their heart to do so! Most people I know don't even have a "practicing" religion. My family and I are one of them, and we celebrate it every year.
How are you today, this week, this year?.....This week has been quite busy getting ready for the Christmas Holiday. But over-all it was very festive, and very well spent with family-time.
Is there anything that you like about Holidays and what is that?....Well of course. I love the holidays. Being home, being able to spend more and extra time with family, and being able to focus on them rather than everyone else in the world.
What is your ideal Christmas atmosphere?....Being with my family and all of us being together to celebrate the day and the season.
How did you spend your Christmas?..... I spent my Christmas at my moms house with our entire family enjoying and celebrating the day with my mothers amazing Christmas dinner and opening alot of gifts.
How are you today, this week, this year?
I'm doing good too. I'm a little tired, but otherwise up and ready for the day ahead. This week has been so much fun. Between online church camp, going to the beach, and watching The Queen's Gambit, I've been really happy this week. This year has been really rough, which is why I'm here, but in some ways I'm grateful for how tough it's been. Like Beth from Queen's Gambit, sometimes it takes falling into a deep hole for you to realise you need to stop digging and climb out.
Is there anything that you like about Holidays and what is that?
Sleeping in for sure! Also having nice food to eat, and singing Christmas songs.
What is your ideal Christmas atmosphere?
It would be all my favourite family members gathered around the table playing games. Last year we played mind games, and it was the best thing ever. My aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins were allll into it, and everybody laughed so much that night.
How did you spend your Christmas?
I spent my Christmas at the beach. It was the best because I'd been looking forward to going for a few weeks, and it was just amazing luck that we managed to book spaces on Christmas. I had way too much fun.
@elizabethunter
Ima doing ok, not chalothic but still celebrate Christmas, we did the usual, spent time together open presents.
Holiday atmosphere, home n front of fireplace with friends and family
@elizabethunter you might wish to edit your post so it doesn't come across as non inclusive i even found some small offence to the one denomination only being addressed and the fact non active religion people were also left out of your merry Christmas message everyone celebrates it faith or not I'm not catholic I'm in a different denomination too
