Day 13: People Who Made My Year Special
As the year comes to a close, it's natural to look back on the moments that shaped us. While achievements, challenges, and milestones often stand out, it's the people around us who truly leave a lasting impact. Whether they offered a listening ear, a kind word, or simply their presence, these individuals have made the year brighter and more meaningful.
Celebrating the Special People in Our Lives
Sometimes, it’s the little things - like a friend who sent an encouraging text when you needed it most or a colleague who made workdays more enjoyable, that can transform an ordinary moment into something extraordinary. Other times, it might be a mentor who guided you through a difficult decision or a family member who supported you unconditionally.
These connections remind us that life isn’t just about what we do but also about the relationships we build. They’re a source of strength, joy, and growth, teaching us that we’re never truly alone.
Practicing Gratitude for These Connections
The end of the year is a wonderful opportunity to express gratitude for the people who’ve made a difference in our lives. A simple “thank you” or thoughtful gesture can go a long way in showing your appreciation. Whether it’s writing a heartfelt note, giving them a call, or even sharing a memory with them, acknowledging their impact can strengthen these bonds and make both of you feel valued.
Reflect and Celebrate Together
Let’s take a moment to celebrate these connections together. Share your stories about the people who’ve made your year special, no matter how big or small their impact was. Let this post be a space for gratitude, love, and recognition for those who’ve touched our lives. These people can be on 7 Cups and/or in other life areas.

on 7 cups can not listed the ones who have greatly helped me in the support chatroom. their kindness and wiliness to listen has amazed us. words of support and many other helpful things too.
a friend offline has showed us kindness by saying positive things about what she see in us. this has been very special to us. due to being not use to comments like that to us. we are very blessed by her and few others offline.
we in past have given gifts to others not around holidays or birthdays. but had other times. love seeing others face light-up when we give a gift just because we grateful for them being in our life. most times it been something we made or something we bought that did not cost very much at all.

- Who are three people who made your year special, and how did they impact your life?
- My parents, my brother, and my professors. They provided me with support and guidance.
- What’s one moment with someone that made you feel deeply grateful this year?
- Helping a friend study for an exam.
- How can you show appreciation to those who’ve supported or inspired you this year?
- Helping them in return. Helping them when they get stuck.
- Reflecting on these relationships, what lessons have you learned about connection, kindness, or gratitude?
- I have learned that when you help a person, you are more likely to feel good about yourself. and you are more likely to remember that positive moment when you helped that person. Gratitude is also important to practice in any area of your life. Being grateful for the relationships you have formed is very significant to creating positive emotions. I learned many new things from these relationships. To help one another. And it is very good to see someone smile.
I don't have any family or any social friends but 1 person I wanna say deserves this as they have helped me in ways they might not know and that person who made my year better was @Bestvase7265.
That is so unbelievably kind. Thank you so much. You just made my holiday season. You are such a blessing. @CallumKing2000
