What kinds of creative things do you do - post a picture here in this thread. If have trouble loading pic, save to your device & load file from device
this is a watercolor I did when I was thinking this world needs a little peace. what looks like the moon or the sun is actually the flash reflecting off the glass in the frame. But I think it is a nice effect. soulsings
Tutorial to post pictures (works on browser login not on app login)
- Save picture file with Alpha letters only - no symbols like % $ # etc
- Save picture as JPG file. If pic is other format you can open it in a photo editing program and save it as JPG or jpeg that ends in .jpg
- The picture adding tool is in the tool bar above the post you are doing in a rectangle with trees in it. It is located to the left of the link icon just right of middle of the page. Click on that.
- You get two options upload from your device by clicking on Choose Files or give web address. I find the most reliable way is to upload from my device clicking on Choose Files
- Many websites that host pictures do not work maybe because they do not store them as JPG files.
- It is always interesting to know a little bit about the pic so type in some text.
- Remember to click on Update Post when finished.
Someone asked me to see if the app worked with posting a pic. My first attempt did not work with the app did not post pic nor did the 2nd attempt. I logged out of the 7 cups app and I logged in to 7cups on phone in a browser on phone (or computer) and it works fine. Sorry for you app only users.
If anyone else can post a pic with the app, please let me know what your method is by message at is. www.7cups.com/@soulsings
I am a digital and traditional artist and I write poetry too. I mostly draw famous people so I don't know if I am allowed to share here. If it's okay to share I will post 2 of my favorite digital artworks. :) I am glad that there are many talented people here, it puts a smile on my face. :D
@tiredangel6 as long as the works are originals which means you created yourself completely without copying or digitally transposing photos or paintings, you should be okay. Please feel free to pm me imgur or other viewing site links to the drawings you want to post. You can PM me at www.7cups.com/@soulsings
I am concerned about having only non-controversial figures. That means no one that is known for illegal activities, no one in politics or religion and no one that looks scary or might trigger someone.
Thank you.
I have been writing mostly-traditional Ukrainian Easter eggs for
around 20 years. It's called "writing" because you are basically writing on the shell with a stylus. I don't do them much anymore because I am too
perfectionist and I can see every mistake and it drives me nuts. 😒 Plus I need more magnification than I used to 20 years ago. 😜
But I made this one while on enforced lockdown last year.
@InquireWithin these are so incredible. I have never seen painted eggs anything like this. Amazing!
@soulsings
Thank you. This isn't even my best effort, tbh. And btw it's not paint but dye. If you are familiar with batik, it's the same idea, but rather than cloth or fabric, an eggshell is used as our medium. Wax resist is another name for the process. The wax preserves the shell (or cloth in the case of batik) from a color bath wherever the wax has been applied, so the underlying color is preserved from all later dye baths. So you are layering wax, then dye, then wax, then dye, etc. working toward a finished product.
The natural high from completing a good egg is unmatched. I feel great for hours. 😍
@InquireWithin
Very impressive! It must be really hard to do, wow. As the artist you might see much more than others but it looks perfect as it is to me, wish you could see it this way too.
@InquireWithin
wow!
So beautiful 😍 you are so talented!!
@InquireWithin This is beautiful! The detail is so amazing!
@InquireWithin This is so beautiful! I used to make these with my grandmother when I was little, you're inspiring me to try again ❤️
Thank you everyone for the kind words.

I would consider myself as a pretty creative person. Right now my project is to crochet a blanket, but I'll show you what I did to the windows at work. The kids often are distracted by what's gong on outside the window so I made this windscreen as a skyline. They absolutely loved it.
@Kickan75
Wow, that is amazing!
@Kickan75 this is a very creative way to keep kids from staring out the windows! It shows real creativity on your part.
@Kickan75, WOW!
I started commenting and found so many to comment on. Just want to say there is so much talent here and you should all be proud of what you've shared. Love it
