PAIN

sensitiveBalsam7250 December 6th, 2023

so i come from a very middle class family, my mother is a teacher and my father is a business man. we come from a very typical family where none of my parent's were able to pay for me and my sibling's education so we had to rely on my uncles and aunts for money basically our whole life. They did give us money whenever we needed but also came a lot of insults [that's basically how rich people treat the poor here]. so my one and only goal was to study hard to get a job so that i can pay them back to stop them from insulting my parents. but now i cannot seem to do it because i'm currently doing my a level and it already costs a lot and universities costs even more. another thing : i'm a cancer survivor and growing up i wanted to know what cancer was and how to treat it and how to save others lives from it that's why i'm so fond of biology. but i cannot be a doctor as it costs a lot and it's a lot of pressure. i wanted to be a cancer researcher but in our country we don't have that many options in universities as other countries as we're not that developed yet. but since i cannot afford going abroad to study like my peers and friends, i'll have to study here with very limited options of subjects and jobs. this put me in depression. because i've seen a lot of rich spoiled kids never ever studying but then they use their daddy's money to go abroad and study there as they got money while people like us have to give up our dreams because of money even though we study really hard and get good grades. it's always gonna be like this isn't it? the riches get whatever they want even with no qualifications, and the poor ones has to suffer and give up on their goals and dreams just because we cannot afford them?

There will always be ones richer than us, who seems like they have everything laid out for them without putting any effort. I'm sorry to hear that you and your family don't have any financial support and you feel your education is being compromised. Is there any way to take courses online? Some Universities offer online diplomas/certifications, are there any that you can have access to?

I hope that you don't give up your dreams, even if they seem impossible, don't give up.

Sorry to here this. Dont worry. Time will change everything. Dont overburden youself. If you can please forgive your uncles and aunts. Thats not for them, just for you. You will get a inner peace and that will make your vision and goal better.

Ultimately only happiness and peace matters.

@sensitiveBalsam7250

i dont think blaming rich people helps iny our case although i can see why u may fell so. most rich people have worked hard to be where they are .life is not always fair. but that doesnt mean you have to take it and live against your wish.
study something remotely close to what you like, get a job.workout your own ways and work hard. save up for your education and dont call quits easily. be persistent.

as long as you fight for your dream and work towards it, its all gonna be alright somehow

I'm sorry you're experiencing economic barriers and a lack of educational opportunities ontop of financial struggles. It sounds like you're using all your resources and doing what you can for your higher education despite those barriers and that is great. As someone suggested maybe you can take online courses or search for sources online. It seems like you have access to internet, so I'm assuming you're able to do this. What options do you have to make some money? I don't know if it'll make a difference because I live in the States and i don't know how systems outside the states work, but here, we have people selling clothes, handmade items, possibly food, accessories, and other misc stuff, and I am wondering if that may be an option for you too.

To answer your question generally, yes that's how it is sometimes, but other times people can make it out from poor to rich or poor to having a good enough money to survive. At that point, it will depend on you and your goals. If you want, you could try to find ways to motivate yourself or find things that you could enjoy.
