7 Cups Culture Guide + Badge!
Hello Community!
Ive been enjoying the launch of the Leadership Development Program (LDP). We are all learning a lot. We have a lot of great new leaders signing up to serve our community. Im thankful for them and their service!
One thing that has struck me is the impact of the 7 Cups Culture Guide. I wrote the first draft of ths on a long flight back in 2017. New leaders were commenting that it was meaningful and some were surprised to see how it is a foundation to all the work we do here on 7 Cups. New leaders review the guide and take a test as part of the first course in the LDP. Their reaction to the guide and the test made me realize that we should more deliberately extend access to the guide and test to our broader community.
If you are interested in learning more about our culture and embracing it, then, please
Take the test here! (Blue Text is clickable)
Next, post the 3 most important things you learned and why they are important to you. Then, post that you have read the guide and taken the test with the following words:
I, (username), have read the 7 Cups culture guide, taken the test, and am now a 7 Cups Culture Holder.
Once youve made the post, we will award you the 7 Cups Culture Holder Badge. We will do this manually at first so there will be a small delay from the time that you complete the course and receive the badge.
Im looking forward to hearing your feedback. Thank you for being a part of our community!

The first thing that I found to be most meaningful to me is to grow through the path of problems. Avoidance can make matters worse and it's important to face things head on!
The emphasis on self-care was really important to see in the guide as well. It's super easy to neglect care for yourself when looking out for others. A reminder is always greatly appreciated!
and last but not least, having fun and keeping full. It's okay to have fun and make this an enjoyable experience, connect with others, and experience the 7 cups experience fully

1. I learnt about the high expectations, high warmth concept and aim to implement this for myself by setting goals for myself and connecting with people who will encourage me to achieve them.
2. I learnt that 7 Cups places great importance on trust, and I will endeavour to live up to the trust that is being placed in me by doing my best.
3. I gained an overall insight into the culture of 7 Cups that I didn't have before, and I hope it will inform all my activities on the site going forward.

Three important things I have learned:
1. My volunteering experience as a 7 Cups Listener so far has been fulfilling. Seeing others feel better about themselves, while ensuring that I've encouraged them with my skills to take a step to becoming better is very rewarding.
2. Contributing as a Listener on here ensures that my part is done to enhance aspects of the 7 Cups Community, in order to grow on a collective level
3. In life, there have been times where I haven't taken failure or criticism very well. However, I want to work on viewing them from different perspectives, so I can help myself grow as a human being. It is okay to fail and be judged on things which you may believe you've thrived in, but constructive comments help to ensure you can improve next time

Three things I learned and why its important.
1. I learned to be aware of what my role as a listener is. Its important as it defines my work here on 7cups.
2. I learned that i need to be supportive of everybody here because we all deserve a bit of care.
3. And lastly I realized that selfcareless listening is overwheming and not recommended :)

1: I have learned that it's important to know and keep aware of the 7 cups Values.
2: A community is a team and should be bringing each other up together.
3: I've also learnt that it's okay to make mistakes, as they give you the opportunity to grow and learn from it

The top things that I have learned from reading the 7Cups Culture Guide were:
1. By following the "High Expectations and High Warmth" idea, 7Cups is able to thrive as a community in a positive manner
2. The metaphor for the community's "Gas Tank" was really helpful to understand the ways that the community and others can be hurt and how to avoid these things
3. Finding meaningful and interesting work within the community requires you to think of a lot of factors, but once you find it, it is absolutely worth it!

Thanks for this great activity!
@GlenM I completed this activity back in January, but haven't received my badge for it. How long does it usually take for this one to roll out for Listeners? Is it awarded on an automated or manual basis?😊
