7 Cups Culture Guide + Badge!
Hello Community!
Ive been enjoying the launch of the Leadership Development Program (LDP). We are all learning a lot. We have a lot of great new leaders signing up to serve our community. Im thankful for them and their service!
One thing that has struck me is the impact of the 7 Cups Culture Guide. I wrote the first draft of ths on a long flight back in 2017. New leaders were commenting that it was meaningful and some were surprised to see how it is a foundation to all the work we do here on 7 Cups. New leaders review the guide and take a test as part of the first course in the LDP. Their reaction to the guide and the test made me realize that we should more deliberately extend access to the guide and test to our broader community.
If you are interested in learning more about our culture and embracing it, then, please
Take the test here! (Blue Text is clickable)
Next, post the 3 most important things you learned and why they are important to you. Then, post that you have read the guide and taken the test with the following words:
I, (username), have read the 7 Cups culture guide, taken the test, and am now a 7 Cups Culture Holder.
Once youve made the post, we will award you the 7 Cups Culture Holder Badge. We will do this manually at first so there will be a small delay from the time that you complete the course and receive the badge.
Im looking forward to hearing your feedback. Thank you for being a part of our community!

1. Be a good person,but no pushover.
2. If anyone makes you feel less, leave them.

@GlenM
The three important things I learned are:
a, Accepting failure. Failure is important for us to learn and improve, it is the best teacher out there.
b, Accountability. Accept and embrace mistakes, and not make excuses to cover up. Only then will we strive to learn and improve, and eventually help us be better humans.
c, Taking care of myself. The fact that my mental health is important, and that I can't help others, unless and until I help myself first

3 things that I have leaned through the culture guide are:
1. It is extremely important to be accounatable and own up to your failures
2. Failure is critical in learning
3. It is important that we are good at what we do, are interested and have a goal that needs to be accomplished

I'd like to take the test but the link doesn't seem to connect me to a test. Can someone help me find it? Thank you.
@CaringPresence18 does this work for you? https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScLtnd8RA24SqdMn8OfqbX1s8FcpZ59Ff7cEXLDgfeBgHorQA/viewform
@GlenM
Three things I've learned
1. Everyone has a emotional tank. No one can be expected to give and give without downtime to take care of themselves, and it is important to take time for yourself to recharge
2. This is a community of self fulfillment through work dedicated to helping other. Many of us who are invested in the happiness of others come here to dedicate our time and energy to provide a happier mental space to our members
3. It's ok to make mistakes, it's ok to find out later that 7cups isn't the best suited place for you. There is no need to resent failure or to wrongfully blame ourselves.

Three things I have learnt are:
Skin in the Game concept: This is important to me because it would help rationalise all the activities I am undergoing in order to single out the things that matter the most.
It is okay to fail: This is important to me, to help me understand that failure is not the end of the world, just a means for me to learn and move on.
Take care of yourself too: This is important to me because sometimes I forget that I also need to be cared for. In order to know how to care for people, I would have to know how to care for myself.

Three most important things I got out of the culture guide are:
1) Failure is ok and it's an opportunity to learn
2) Teamwork is a key to a great community
3) Trust is important

Here are some things I've learned:
1. No matter what, we are kind and empathetic to the members because we want to make a good impression on them or at least improve their initial perception if they've previously had a bad experience.
2. It is important to have a balance between what you are good at, what you are interested in, and something that is fulfilling not just for your own personal benefit, but also the community.
3. While listeners have a huge responsibility to uphold 7 Cups' culture and values, don't be too hard on yourself to be perfect. The most important thing is to be kind to yourself and others and the rest will follow with experience as long as you do your best!
