Quote of the Day- My Favorite Songs
I'd been posting quotes from my favorite songs that I found motivational, inspiring, or just fun while the feed was still around. So, since it's not around I'd like to start quoting my favorites again!
Please feel free to join in on the fun, but don't post the words to entire songs.
Here's an example:
You've haunted me in colors I've never seen. I feel strange and unprotected, but I'm weightless like I'm falling on the moon. I'm falling slow for you. - "Manta Rays" by Ludo
No, I'd rather pretend I'm something better than these broken parts
Pretend I'm something other than this mess that I am
'Cause then I don't have to look at it
And no one gets to look at it
No, no one can really see
(Words fail, Dear Evan Hansen)
@tinycactus809 I love your username😂🌵
@TidyGrapefruit2001
Thank you!😁😁
The ink is running toward the page, it
Please, leave all overcoats, canes and top hats with the doorman. From that moment you'll be out of place and underdressed. I'm wrecking this evening already and loving every minute of it. Ruining this banquet for the mildly inspiring and...When you're in black slacks with accentuating, off-white, pinstripes. Whoa, everything goes according to plan.
- "There's A Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey. You Just Haven't Thought Of It Yet." by Panic! At The Disco
You've been known to obsess over the future. Do you think you'll get away from the past? As you stone yourself just to make it through 'til midnight consider what you might have found. You think you've got a good thing now. I found God in a catalytic converter in Topeka on a Monday night. Every saint has a past, every sinner has a future so you know what keeps me hangin' around. No, you can't keep a good man down.
- "Topeka" by Ludo
"Self-loathing is quaint," you told me, showing restraint. Now you're gone and I'm lost, in the swells I am tossed - bobbing and choking and losing the fight in the fog. You said, "Forever..." Tell me, why can't you stay?
- "Drunken Lament" by Ludo
But milkshakes melt, people change, and you dumped me on my birthday. Right after I bought you that really expensive thing from the Body Shop called Jojoba Loofah Milktowel or something like that. That I sold 147 Cutco knives to afford, but whatever, hey, it's cool. I've moved on you know, I'm happy now - well, happy in a crying sorta way. You know, curled up naked in the shower biting your knees wishing you were dead kinda happy. But I realized you were right, we were never meant to be. And you know what? Thank God!
- "Good Will Hunting By Myself" by Ludo. The best solo from one of Ludo's best break-up songs.
It was 4:03 in a world asleep except for me. Alone in the Laundromat, the air too hot to breathe. The Tide was getting low, my pockets were drained. My socks were soaked, my colors all stained. Cycles agitating on, God damn, I needed some change. You walked right through the door.
- "Laundry Girl" by Ludo
My scar is from a polar bear, my curse is from a witch, I've caught a giant squid in all the seven seas. I've picked up rocks from distant moons astronomers will discover soon. But I would give them all back just for you.
- "Anything For You" by Ludo
The world's on pause, all Newton's laws suspended on account of her. She's like legato glowing purple while staccato's beating in my shirt. What should I do, what should I say, okay I can't say that, but oh my God. I've been struck down from outer space and thuderbolted to the spot. When what to my wondering eyes should appear? Is she really coming toward me for a beer?
- "Saturday Night Thunderbolt" by Ludo
