Quote of the Day- My Favorite Songs
I'd been posting quotes from my favorite songs that I found motivational, inspiring, or just fun while the feed was still around. So, since it's not around I'd like to start quoting my favorites again!
Please feel free to join in on the fun, but don't post the words to entire songs.
Here's an example:
You've haunted me in colors I've never seen. I feel strange and unprotected, but I'm weightless like I'm falling on the moon. I'm falling slow for you. - "Manta Rays" by Ludo
There's always gonna be another mountain I'm always gonna wanna make it move Always gonna be an uphill battle Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose Ain't about how fast I get there Ain't about what's waiting on the other side It's the climb The climb by Miley Cyrus Speaks of what's life is about to me. It's an uphill battle but I am still willing to climb it. :D
'Twas quite the inky black night. All the weather vanes were turning and the constable was burning out his light. When low our anchors went down, barnacle bound. The men were up and churning, yes, and soon the square was burning to the ground. And oh the streets burned with gold.
- "Rotten Town" by Ludo. A song about pirates. Yes, I said pirates!
Oh, is there anything left to say? You've been down so long you've forgotten to believe. You're watching it slip away. You've been kicked around, they got you on your knees. But they're all the same. They laugh and walk away. And they think you'll turn around and go back home.
- "Battle Cry" by Ludo
I can move mountains. I can work a miracle, work a miracle. Oh, oh, keep you like an oath. May nothing but death do us part.
- "Uma Thurman" by Fall Out Boy
You check the clock, it's time to go. You grab your keys and you're out the door. I step outside and you're waving goodbye. It's all happening again like before. As you're starting the car and I'm tearing inside, I knock on your window, you stop just in time. Around to the other side, I say, "Baby, I thought I'd come along for the ride."
- "Part IV: Morning In May" by Ludo, from an entire CD about untimely deaths and time travel gone wrong, but ugh, it's the best.
Don't walk away, don't walk away, don't walk away, don't walk away. 'Cause if you stay I would even wait all night. Or until my heart explodes. How long? Until we find our way in the dark in the dark and out of harm. You can run away with me. You can write it on your arm. You can run away with me anytime you want.
- "Summertime" by My Chemical Romance
I still remember as we walked the moon to stay out of the way. Memories burning like a cigarettes, like the ashes call your name. Lost in a moment when you packed your rags and said you couldn't stay. Left on a message that I never read, you're calling out my name.
- "Getting Over You" by The Used
Here, see California, where pretty people dream. Now see that icy vacant lot where they made your nose bleed. The flannel spread, the heater on. The world is dead, the sun is gone, here take my hand, I'll take you home. You'll never have to be alone.
- "Hello, My Name Is Your TV" by Ludo
You and I should get away for awhile. I just want to be alone with your smile. Buy some candy and cigarettes and we'll get in my car. We'll blast the stereo and we'll drive to Madagascar.
- "M+M's" by Blink-182
