What is the most recent book you have read?
What is the most recent book you have read? Title, category, what was it about?
The most recent one I read was "Stand by me", by Sheila O'Flanagan. A novel about a woman and her journey after her husband suddenly leaves.
@Sunthruclouds Hello!
I recently started reading When no One is Watching by Alyssa Cole. I don't know how to tell about when it is without ruining it but its basically just about strange things happening in the neighborhood! It's really interesting, way more interesting then I can describe lol.
@Sunthruclouds Last standalone I read was Ender's game, dystopian story about a future war against another creature and a world very controlled and all, and am currently reading the addicted/calloway sister's series and im on the sixth book, so the last one I read is hothouse flower. it's a contemporary romance all character-based and focused on a group of 6 friends that fall in love, become famous and have drama going don basically hahahaha
@bubblegumL4314
Dystopian story and contemporary romance. That's a pretty broad genre of books. 😀
@Sunthruclouds hahahahaha definitely, I read books from all genres
@Sunthruclouds
The current one I'm reading is Carrion Comfort by Dan Simmons.
It's sorta about people in positions of power having and abusing the power to control others to do horrible things like kill people for sport, and others get caught up in it and start figuring it out.
That's a bad explanation, but it's hard to do better. It starts out sorta slow, but it's turning out to be one of the best books I've read. I'm maybe getting close to halfway done.

'Turtles, turtles all the way down' by Josh Green.
I actually would have never seen this book. It was dull and black but that's why I have my mom. She was on a trip and as a souvenir, knowing I love to read. Got it for me.
It's about a teanage girl, with a mental illness and she just takes us through a journey, where's she's finding herself. Or as I like to say getting rid of what's not her (cause you're already you). And what I liked about it was, that I felt that she was me. She was talking about me. How she felt about herself. It has a little side story about someone's dad running away from his problem because of money and actually not leaving his money on his will to his kids. Who both are not even too close to 18. They have no Mom and all the money is given to a reptile. I love animals but come on.
What I loved about it though is that she didn't miraculously change, she was on the path to change at the end of the book.
P.S: Writer wrote 'The fault in our stars' and knowing that book, this might leave you dissatisfied. But I'd say give it a try. Broaden your view...
Thank you
Finished: The other Eden by Ben Elton (satire on the prevailing marketing systems, consumerism and environmentaism)
Unfinished: Londonistani by Gautam Malkani (comic novel)
@Sunthruclouds
the book i'm reading is 'The mountain is you' by Brianna Weist.
its a book about self sabotaging. how we do it, why we do it and how to get control over it. it will focus on your personal growth and i would totally recommend it.

wishing you a good day ahead < 3
I'm still in the middle of it: the book of lost things by John Connolly. Its about twisted fairy tales come to life and hunting down a boy who brought them to life as a coping mechanism in response to his mother's death.
