Great idea, I love books too. Many of mine I find in charity shops, book fairs or on eBay. I particularly like autobiographies.

Try meditation science books. Those are dark and useful. Scary.

Or, maybe something like easy neuroscience.

I'm guessing you are looking for usefulness or fact fulness of the book, that's why non fiction. But, dark and sketchy useful amd fact fulness?, I cannot comprehend that.

Maybe history could do justice. Or, behavioural economics. Maybe, nutrition.
