With immense pride and lots of excitement, I'm happy to invite y'all to be a part of an interview given by one of the most creative and giving and creatively-giving (word play 101 lol) people I've come across.

Who's art pieces are a sight to behold truly!

Talking about none other than @YourCaringConfidant aka Desiree, who is a dear part of the Positivity and Gratitude forums and a dearer part of the Peer Appreciation Program as a smile spreader who spreads countless smiles and immeasurable joy around! 💛

Sun: Let's start with the basics lol, I feel everyone has a different perspective on how their day at 7 cups looks like, or how they would make the best out of it for themself and the community.

On a typical "cupsing" day/ hours, how do you make the most of your time and presence here?

Desiree: I make the most of my time on the platform by trying my best to be productive and proactive. I recently started the 7cups internship so while I am working getting my 1-1 chat hours up, I hold down my roles as a forum supporter and smile spreader. I just honestly love being a part of something for the greater whole. I love making people smile, laugh, and just have a good time. 7cups is where I choose to spend and donate my time and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Sun: I see you're here since 2018, it's been a while, and we'd love to know more about your 7 cups journey so far as a listener. How has it been for you?

Desiree: My journey as a listener has been nothing but amazing. I did first join in 2018 and I loved it but then you know with time comes changes… I ended up taking a break from the platform because of certain things happening in life but I always missed it. Yes, I am a wife and mother but outside of that, I always felt like I was missing something. Helping people filled that void so I came back on the 7cups platform with the intent to make a difference to help improve my life and help others. Being a listener has been so fulfilling and is honestly one of the roles I am most proud of!

Sun: I love seeing your wonderful forum posts, mainly in the positivity and gratitude community, you're certainly a great fit for the team. What inspired you to join the P&G forums as a leader?

Desiree: I will be honest here. When I came back, I went full force to dedicate time to spend on the platform to get back active and involved. I had never had a leadership role the entire time I was a listener but when I saw the peer appreciation program, I instantly knew right away that I wanted to participate in that and be a smile spreader. Then I applied to be a forum supporter because, in my mind, it only made sense. I mean, I was already making posts on the peer appreciation thread so why not? :)

Sun: While we are on the subject, and ofcourse to highlight your immense talent as a smile spreader. How would you describe "smile spreader"/ your experience in the PAT in your words?

Desiree: You’re kidding, right? How would I describe being a “smile spreader”? For me, it is sooooo rewarding! I love it. I love everything about it. I love reading the sweet appreciation notes people send in for others, I love making pretty graphics to go with it, and I love being able to play messenger delivering the note when I make the post on the thread. This role fits me sooo perfectly and I just enjoy every aspect about it. I know it isn’t about the prettiness of a graphic but making the graphics helps my creative side come out!

Sun: Words have power, and you seem to just know your way around them in the most beautiful way.

How do you feel when you know you made someone's day better with your words?

Desiree: There is definitely power in words. I always keep in mind that words have the power to uplift someone or the ability to break them down. That is why I always try and watch my words. As a listener, I feel like if I was able to bring just a bit of hope to a member, a little bit of joy, and a smile to their face by chatting then I have done my job. :)

Sun: When it comes to you, it's words mixed with adorable, vibrant and beautiful graphics. Not only as a smile spreader for the Peer Appreciation Program, I've come across many beautiful graphics from you otherwise too in forums, and it really warms my heart. While it is a treat for others coming across, I feel art helps the artist in many ways also.

What are your strengths as a creative person? and How has creativity helped you personally?

Desiree: I have always considered myself to be a creative person. I have tried dabbling in a little bit of everything but I have my strengths and weaknesses. As much as I love creating and making pretty graphics online or from my phone… when my pen or marker hits a sheet of paper and I get to beautify it with color or stickers or whatever, that is a great feeling. That is where my true creativity is expressed!

Sun: This one's kinda personal lol xD the host totally making use of the great opportunity! How do you make your graphics super customized and pretty? Now is the time to spill any tips, tricks and secrets! :P (I'm sure all the PAT members are excited for this one haha)

Desiree: Omg, now you are the 3rd person to ask me that in just today alone. It is no secret. For me, I find it easiest doing graphics from my phone. I do use several editing apps to sometimes make one graphic just because I find that there is something I like about each of them. Canva is an amazing app to use because there are templates on there you can simply edit on. You have free range to change the photo, to change colors, and fonts, and so much more. Photofy is also another app I love to use. It is user friendly as well. I also use pixlr because that is the easiest app I have found if I want to overlay an image. I just pull and take each thing I like from each app to create something pretty. Simple as that. <3
