A text to someone I used to know

I'm such an idiot. I really thought I could do this. I really thought maybe things would be ok between us. I *** everything up. And all I can do now is think. Think about how you made me laugh through my tears. The way you made me feel like I mattered, even if it was fake. Think about how I'm alone and about all the times you were there while I was alone. Think about how every time I get a text I hope it's from you. I'll sit here and think about how I would give anything to hug you. So how about you just make this easy and say I never mattered.
