Some poems by me!

This time

You can't force yourself into my life,

You can't "fix" me,

You can't "save" me,

You don't get to make me feel dumb anymore,

You hurt more than you helped but that's over,

Because leaving you felt like being set free,

And honestly I'm embarrassed for you,

So

I'm the one who's done this time

And you don't get to guilt me back.

Trying

I’m trying to fix things.

I’m trying to forgive you.

I’m trying not to go back again.

I’m trying to learn to cope.

I’m trying to talk.

I’m trying to work.

I’m trying to listen.

I’m trying.

Are you?

Four simple letters,

That mean four simple words.

Meaningless to some,

But everything to me.

I love you too;

One simple phrase,

In one simple text.

It probably meant nothing to you,

But it holds everything for me.

One dumb text,

From one dumb conversation,

On one dumb day,

And yet its still the one thing keeping me here.

I'm sorry

I'm sorry I overthink.

I'm sorry I text a million times a day.

I'm sorry I worry.

I'm sorry I care too much.

I'm sorry I don't know how to act.

I'm sorry I can't let go.

I'm sorry I love you so much;

I'm sorry I don't know how to talk about that.

This is a work in progress but i wanted to show what i have so far

Things I Do

when you're gone, when I worry, and even when I cry

I wear your ring; it feels safe

I look at your photos; it feels like you're here

I watch your videos; that make me feel calm

Thinking

I feel a pit in my stomach and a rock in my throat

But nothing happened so why do I feel this way?

I was just thinking.

All i did was think...

Dreaming makes me cry

Dreaming makes me cry.

It's not like my dreams are scary, they aren't even sad.

They're beautiful,

and happy, and strange.

They're you,

and they're me.

And I feel complete.

Though I may worry or fret,

at the end of the dream I hold you in my arms,

but thats what makes me cry the most.

Because when I awake you aren't there.

Because I know I'll never get that with you.
