I think of you all often and the kindness you’ve shown me, and I wonder how you’re doing. I really hope you’ve been well. I’m sending you prayers. @PiecesOfWhoeverIWas I'm okay<3 How are you doing? I saw a comment from you about wanting to keep your cool while having to deal with certain people, are you still around such people?
@BlueDarkAurora That’s sweet of you to ask. I’m sort of still around these folks from time to time. My comment was mostly a lessons learned thing from the last year with those people. ( Really, reviewing lessons from difficult people over the course of my lifetime. 😅 ) I have learned a lot about how certain influences change how I think and behave.
@PiecesOfWhoeverIWas I get that, also such lessons are mostly useful around people like that xD They teach us how to deal with them.
I can relate with what you said and it's nice to know that someone out there thinks that way too. What I really liked is that you talked about wanting to honour the other person as well, that's not something many people think about<3
Does it feel like the control you have over your emotions gets stronger the more you are away from such people? Or does it feel like you are back to where you started when they are around? (You don't have to answer the questions if you don't want to<3)
@BlueDarkAurora That’s a really good question, I had to really think about it. I’m thinking back over a long period of time now, and I felt really good that I was getting better slowly at handling myself with difficult people. Then in my most recent experience with my soon ex-husband, there were things about him that were difficult like other people. Pushy, manipulative, gaslighting. But there was a physical element with him that I haven’t had to deal with in a very long time. The physical abuse parts awakened a very old fear in me that I see now I never properly dealt with, I only ran from it. I would freeze a lot around him. Good things I learned went right out the window with him, as you said. I felt like a child again. I tried to appease him, or appeal to him. I knew things were wrong for years, but somewhere along the line my body couldn’t take any more stress. It was a daily thing. Toward the end I’d get very angry and yell back at him, say bad words because my regular words had no meaning to him. I’d feel bad and end up crying and apologizing. I was so conflicted, nothing helped me calm down. I’d tell myself I’d handle it with more grace next time, but then I’d end up telling him off again. I felt like I was becoming a different person.
Now that I’m out of the immediate daily environment, it’s as if my body has a chance to get proper footing. I’ve been a lot calmer and stronger interacting with people.
@PiecesOfWhoeverIWas It was a different experience<3 and when we are hurt and healing at the same time even a small change can makes the whole journey feel new.
You tried your best with all that you had<3 I'm so sorry that it went so far that you had to go to the extremes just to be heard. That is not a nice feeling, that kind of desperation to just want to be seen is so exhausting.
I really pray that you don't ever have to go through that again. You are strong, always have been but now you get to channel your strength in ways that'll help you grow<3

@PiecesOfWhoeverIWas oh it must have seemed out of place ^^ I was just replying to you asking us how we were<3 And honestly I really appreciate that, I love when someone genuinely wants to know. I'm just trying to find something positive to hold on to right now so it was an okay kind of okay.
There is nothing wrong in telling your story but I understand that it'll take some time for it all to feel normal or like something that deserves to see the light. Our experiences are different but you feel like someone I can relate to. Thank you for being so kind, it means a lot to me<3

Yep all the animals are safe and snug in bed right now. The horse has a nice warm blanket on and has hay to munch. The feathery girls and boys are snug in their coops with their heat lamps 😊

@Tinywhisper11 They are ❤️ You'd love the chickens. They're so friendly and sweet. I did sled a little. The ride down is fun but the walk back up gets tiring lol. It was too fluffy to make a snowman though. Maybe the next snow will be better ☃️

@mytwistedsoul well it won't be everywhere +_+ You'll have sunny beaches and misty mountains too. I think it'll be like lucid dream, we'll be able to change things as we like.

@mytwistedsoul Hi! 👋 I have 2 and they don’t really like it. 😂 I have a time getting them to go out and do their business. It’s not too bad though unless I put salt down, their little paws don’t like that. The cat however loves the snow and will chase mini snowballs blowing down the hill. ❤️
@PiecesOfWhoeverIWas Hello! 2 dogs! I love that you have 2. They have each other for company and play. 💜 I can't say I blame them for not liking the salt of their feet. Salt can be so hard on just about everything.
@mytwistedsoul I prefer having two dogs. I know sometimes it doesn’t work well depending on their ages and personalities. These two are inseparable, they’re always together cuddling and playing toys. They even clean each other. Cute, but gross. 😂 😝

All is well on the home front, but it is snowing, and that is unusual for us. So being shut in just keeps me focused on my Dollhouse making. I'm trying to make everything from scratch. I'm messing up loyally, but that's okay. I'll tear it apart until I get it looking more realistic.
My husband gets under my skin and this is my go to🤣
