In my state these are the requierments.
- Four years to earn a bachelor’s degree
- Two years to earn a master’s degree in Counseling and qualify for the LLPC license
- Two years as an LLPC gaining supervised experience to qualify for full LPC licensure
There are classes on ethics, and other things on your list. You must pass the class but there is no way to teat for ethics etc...
@Gettingbettertoday
Definitely, but we aren't talking about the professional requirements here. It's more about the intuitions. 🙃

Hmmm see the thing here is that my happiness comes from helping and being there for my friends. But sometimes, I get burnt out and/or people only use me as a therapist while giving back nothing in return. Once I even tried to give a friend advice, but it was too harsh and it backfired on me, causing the friendship to spoil (looking back, it was toxic for both of us!). But I am working on my listening skills, because sometimes that's all that people want-- someone to listen. I also don't believe in toxic positivity-- I believe in raw, honest advice.
@trueconfidant123 wow I was always knew I was clever enough to be a therapist😁 you can all call me doctor tiny ❤😁

@trueconfidant123 the amount of time and money I put into my education and my lived experiences help a lot :)
@livedexperiences
Of course, the outputs are always greater than the investments in that case. 😄
