Weekly sharing of Goals! Week #47 2024 (Monday 11/18/24 - Sunday 11/24/24)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

Finish the other bit of mandatory training for work. Get the rest of the monthly assignments done (due Friday and still have 8 names to look at). Research a company so I can do my 1st assignment for the new class....
Maybe I can do the training tomorrow. My last report is riddled with accounts that were closed because of fraud. I noticed many things on these accounts. Phone numbers didn't match locations (I know people can carry over phone #s from other locations but there was a pattern in these accounts), email addresses looked suspect, and one account was apparently opened by a ghost (when I did a background check, it said the person's Did was 2015).
I asked the manager that comes into the office about it and he said upper management just cares about new accounts, they don't care too much about possible fraudulent accounts. To me, it makes more sense to verify accounts at the time of sign-ups (more than the bare minimum) and bar the ones that are suspect prior to activities being engaged as opposed to blocking the account after someone in the fraud department notices unusual activity.
But that's not how my company does things.
@Enthenia
A "Nip it in the Bud" approach is always better been waiting for numerous problems to arise I'm letting it go on and on.
So I agree with you 100% there. 😀.
Forced labor seems to be more of a tactic in your company than efficiency... sadly. ☹️
@IsayUncle that's why I don't want to write about the ethics here. It seems like there's policies on paper but that's just where they stay. On paper.vthey aren't actually enacted or only enacted in some places but not everywhere. Like last month one of the top management jumped in on a video conference call and talked about the importance of our jobs and how it helps transparency, ethics, etc. but then you have suspect accounts created because of minimal verification (and these accounts are most likely created from bought information from the Dark Web). There are places where people can buy data for the creation of bogus accounts). It's a contradiction and doesn't exactly showcase the transparency they talk about.
I have to try to finish my core balance chores and then figure out some jobs on paper.
I finished repairing my backho* today. It was a major repair so it is a relief to have it done.
I wanted do some house chores but I don't have the ambition or initiative....
I wake up early every morning. This morning I'm gonna get as many "core balance chores" done and still be out the door ready by 6:00 AM..... That's my goal to start the day.😀.
I achieved my first morning goal this morning! 👍
GOAL #2: Finish remaining CBC's by 7:30am. (I can do it if i stay diligent for 1 hour and allow no distractions)..... a little tough for an ADHD guy that gets easily swayed by other shiney thoughts. 😅
Well, 7:30 AM came pretty quick. I didn't quite finish my core balance chores but I only have a bit more to do and my mood is on the upside, a welcome change this week. 🙂
@IsayUncle This is awesome! Keep up the good work! 😃
After spending most of yesterday with my head stuck in the past. Today will hopefully be alittle more productive. I've already made a run to the feed mill for peep feed and two extra heat lights.
Hoping to get some leaves cleared off the lane because wet weather is supposed to move in and if the leaves are too thick it gets slippy
@mytwistedsoul
How does having your head in the past affect you?
That sounds like a real good start, good for you for getting those errands run early. a lot of wet leaves can be slippier than snot. 😅. It's good to get rid of them and be careful when they are there.
The rain here started about 6:00 in the morning. I'm starting to think something. Living in rural farmland, back roads with fallen trees, ladybug problems and rain coming in about the same time is making me think that we are enjoying very much the same environment. 🤔.
I was doing good with my tasks this morning till about 9:00am and then for some reason I just shut down. I can't understand why that happens to me. It's 2 1/2 hours later and I'm gonna try to finish what I started this morning,, but I'm very anxious about it now because it should have been done! .... It's good that I'm gonna get it done though because it will set a positive pace for me for the remainder of the week.
@IsayUncle I have flashbacks and problems with dissociation. Which tbh I'm a little nervous to admit here because I worry about people judging 😞 Not that they necessarily would but it does happen
@mytwistedsoul
Good morning Twist,
I happened to re-read our posts and I realized I used the word weird a couple times. It dawned on me that, that could be a trigger word. Like somebody calling somebody else weird.
In regards to disassociation, I had looked that up prior to my previous post. Instead of the word weird, I think I should have used the word strange. It must be a very strange thing to lose some of that reality. I can see where that could cause a good bit of stress and anxiety. (sorry).
Using the word weird in regards to myself is actually pretty accurate. People want to judge me on that, to the moon with them!
For the record, I do not think any disorder or mental illness makes people weird in a bad judgemental way. Like I said earlier, I just realized that could be a trigger word and if it triggered a negative vibe to you..... disregard it.... You're a great guy and you don't have to be afraid to share your feelings with me personally but you may not want to put them out here on the thread and I understand that.
Either way, I hope I didn't offend you.
Have a good day. ☺️
your ok about the whole headshrinker thing. im here to learn, through conversation. i don't suffer from dissassociation and i'm sorry you do. that must be wierd and confusing sometimes.
I don't worry about people judging me here. I Think the more weird stuff I share about myself,, hopefully it'll help other people that are in the same boat. Anyone that wants to be critical has that right and I know they just don't understand and if they don't understand there ain't no sense wasting a brain fart on them... but that's just me. (It hurts when people are nasty critical and hatefully judgemental).
I think sensory overload, stress, and emotional overwhelming are my culprits and ADHD. Throwing a little bit of human nature just wanting to take the easy way out to rest and before you know it 2 1/2 hours get p.i.ss'd away watching TV or doing nothing.
we're not far apart... eastern KY.
I finally got my tasks done.... ready for another nap.
@IsayUncle I used to worry about the judgement more when I first started here. Now, not so much. I'm a lot more cautious with what I share. I realized that here there are others that have something similar happening with them. It made it easier to know I'm not alone. I was a lot more sensitive about things, now I have thicker skin or at least that's what I tell myself lol
Helloooo 👋🏾
No goals this week, I've been super busy and just jumping in with both feet. Being easy on myself this week 🌹sending my support and good vibes to everyone. 🌹❤️🙌🏾
@IsayUncle The goal is just to keep swimming. Sometimes I want to fast forwards through all the work and get to the point were I'm feeling proud of all that I've managed to do :D Hope you are well!
Viewed the mandatory training. Still have to read the transcript. Funny thing is, the subject really has nothing to do with our job. We used to be able to choose what recordings we viewed but management took that away stating that some of the topics workers picked had nothing to do with the job. Child exploitation has nothing to do with our job. We deal with accounts for a resort.
Got three more accounts to write up not counting the one for the person who expired (although when I searched the public records for the county the person resided in, there was no record of passing) and I got a message from the school about a refund (wasn't expecting one) so that will help with bills.
Depending on how long work takes me, I'll try to find a company to write about and start the paper today.
