I just followed with my member, and I must say she is a really nice person. She is reeally really strong by herself, and I know with a little push will be able to solve her problem.

P.S. I am a big fan of her. :D

My Member followed up with me two days before Christmas with his mini-goals in place for Christmas day! Followed up and left messages for him both Christmas Day and today as well to see how things went. Waiting on reply. Sounds like he was really ready to take the steps he needed towards progress. Hope things went well for him and he continues to keep me updated. smiley

I check in with my member a couple of days back. @MusicCandy is doing great on their goal and are able to control their drinks for 3 sets of 3 days. I hope they will keep that self control further.

My listener - RelilientLucky reached out to me and offered to chat or just "check in" weekly. She has been faithful to her promise for 3 weeks, and I have been successful for 9 - going on 12 days of keeping my good health habit(it only applies for 3 days per week).

I have saved time and money going to a counselor for just the support I've found here.

It is the best gift to have a caring listener who will also hold me accountable.

Thank you for starting this thread. It is a Godsend.

the next stage in reaching my fitness goals (exercise three times a week) has been difficult to do during the holidays. so i'm re-starting that goal with week one this week. i think it should be easier to achieve now that the holiday craziness is over. i'm debating setting a specific time a day to exercise. this would make it easier to be a habit, but my schedule needs to be flexible due to the nature of my work schedule. thoughts?

@falconer42

Yeah, I am sure you will be able to pursue your goal more now that the holidays are over. For many people, excercise acts like a stress buster and they sleep deeply after wards. Many people do it the first thing in their mornings. Maybe you can see which suits you the best. Best of luck :)

@falconer42 Do you know your work schedule a bit in advance? Instead of pcking a day of the week, if you could possibly schedule it once you know when you'll be working. Having that time committed can sometimes be beneficial in meeting that goal!

@AffyAvo thank you. i set my own hours, so i can pick when i exercise to an extent. like today, i have an online meeting at the time i have chosen to go, so i'll have to go earlier.

and (ugh, i hate that i can't reply to two people at once) yes, i've heard that it can help with stress and depression. so far i haven't noticed this effect, but i'm hoping it's a matter of time.

I've gotten a little more clear on my timeline for the legal healthcare stuff.

Now that I can access the file, the supported decision-making agreement is straightforward, but I will not be contacting my doctors just to get that, I will bring it as I have followup appointments.

I registered for an info session for the personal directive. That's next week. I think I should be able to complete everything on my end by the end of this month - getting all agents on the registry may take longer.

I am on track for my half-marathon/full-marathon training schedule. Right now am on long walks -- 5km plus, next I plan to start light jogging over long distances and then over to running. My fat is disappearing fast and am getting back to lean and muscled shape. I have some metatarsal stress/back issues but am treating them with exercises and occasional trips to my physio.

Just adding to above. Have completed my 15 K distance run, it was slow paced as I had to negotiate a steep flyover ( about 1 K long ) and that sapped me of most of my energy. Am going to stick to 10k-15k runs now, interspersing it with sprints, before I go on to the next milestone.

I Reached out to my member Twice since the New Year started and they were still in process of working on their goals. I have not heard from them since the first week of the New year. Hopefully they are doing well, and still working on their goals and following through on the steps and plans that we touched on.

ResilientLucky January 12th, 2016

My members are up on their goal. (member details removed by forum mod Lyra) Happy to see them progress.

ResilientLucky January 19th, 2016
