2025 Week #3 Weekly Goal Sharing! (Monday 01/13/25 - Sunday 01/19/25)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.
Do Your Best and Get Your rest.
Things are usually much harder then we think. Do your best. Be kind to yourself and Be kind to others.

I think I did well in weeks #1 and #2 of 2025. Week 1, I had a good mental standing and glad get all the holidays were over. I did well maintaining my core balance. Week 2, I had a pretty substantial list and only got about half of it done but my big win for Week #2 was working on storage shelters, also maintaining core balance and physical therapies.
My goals is for Week #3 2025.
1 keep core balance chores up to date
2. do physical therapies daily
3. service heavy equipment.
4. do something to promote income.
5. Install temporary & permanent power outlets outdoors
6. help neighbor repair porch
(Goals slated for the year of 2025) - Repair, Sell or Junk all unused vehicle on my property - Make final amends with certain family members - Interact reguarly with other family members - Finish repairing my ex's basement -
(Longer term but to build towards in 2025) - Start a crafters business - Start an Air bnb and camping business - Start a kayaking business
I need to get up to the greenhouse. I can't remember the last time I was up there 😬 Most of the plants are dormant now but they still need a drink every now and again.
I need to contact the lawyer about a letter he sent and make an appointment. I think this will be the last time.
Had to replace the valve stem on a tire. That was an adventure. Zero stars, do not recommend. Got another ton of pellets for the stove. Cleaned up snow and then cleaned up more. Probably have to clean up more a few times this week. 😐
Hope everyone has a good week!
@mytwistedsoul
I need to go hang out at your greenhouse. 🤣 I still need a drink every now and then also. 😁.
Bummer about your valve stem, just the whole situation and especially in this weather, Uggggh! I'm still dealing with the snow too. It was a real mess this time around.😖.
I hope you have a real good week too, thanks.
@IsayUncle Lol! I'll second that! I need a drink (or two) sometimes too 😉
Good morning.....I'm still around, reading, and scrolling....life is at a status quo minus....just a tad below status quo but not really bad.....I'm meeting all my "get through life" goals....my workouts are still lacking due to medical things but it is what it is.....I hope everyone is doing well and meeting their goals.....
@CyclingThroughLife It's nice to see you 😊
Things are always more time consuming and annoying than I think. Still need to do the assignment I meant to do last week. Uploaded some of my old assignments so I could download examples (didn't want to pay the fee because I really don't use the site all that much). Took me all day to do 58 background checks (still have 116 to do) and this morning I discovered the Internet browser got corrupted so I lost all my tabs. Clocked in three minutes later than usual and I got some of the tabs back (bookmarked ones) but not all
Not sure what else will happen today...
So I finally get to a point where I can go to the restroom (some 6 hrs later than when I last left my desk) and I glance through the emails to delete the corporate junk and there's an email about me having the wrong information on a report. There were two people with the same name (wasn't a common name so I thought it was the same person. Didn't even check) and the supervisor copied management on my error so now I'm even more incompetent and inefficient even though I ran a total of 232 background checks today. That's not good enough. I have to do more.
I now have 30 minutes left and I won't be able to do the assignment. Again.
I also have to get caught up on the daily tasks because I'm at least 4 days behind on those since I didn't even look at them today.
@Enthenia
I can understand your emotions because we have all been there at some point. I used to panic that I might lose my job for small errors and I doubted myself but as I grew up I realised that sometimes there can be human error and I need to focus more and try doing one thing at a time. 3 years later I have reliased that it's okay even if someone makes it seem like it's not okay to make mistakes unless it's causing monetary damage to the company or risk someone's life. Whatever happened happened. Focus on ur present and getting ur tasks completed. And soon everyone will forget this
@kindFlamingo747 well I got my assignment turned in even though I might have to redo it. Added the slide but forgot to animate it like the other ones.
At least I got caught up enough to work on it. Now to go back to the work tasks. One of the more frustrating things about the job is that there is literally no communication (unless you're a supervisor) and I feel like I'm treading water half the time but I never have a moment to say anything. Or when I want to ask something, no one is ever around. My actual manager hasn't come into the office since October I think (not that she really knows much. I think that's why there are more supervisors versus regular people).
@Enthenia it's great to see your progress and yes lack of proper communication can be frustrating. But I'm sure you will sail through all the obstacles and get the job done.
@kindFlamingo747 lack of communication is an understatement. Got the password reset by IT (which was easy!). Then went to do the reports only to find some people whose transactions were deemed as suspicious were changed to not suspicious by someone else. Apparently, we don't go state by state anymore, we look at everything (no one told me) so now if I have one person on a report who has eight accounts, I have to collect that information eight times.
Lots more back and forth.
@IsayUncle
This week is probably my hardest week of the month and will be the hardest and it's onboarding all the new interns and getting all the current interns back into supervision this week. So it's rather busy, including only getting part of my day off today. Thankfully it's just this one week. Next week I'll get it off again.
I think we can just write this week off as never ending. lol It will end late Saturday evening for real, but it's just going to be many 16+ hour days for this one week.
I'm excited for this week though, because it brings new life, new learning, and new ideas with it. That is always exciting even when it brings a lot of work to it. I have lots to be thankful for as well, like my wonderful friends, the wonderful team that makes the work I do possible, and the amazing interns coming on board this week. They've been training for 2 weeks and now they get to move into another level of training.
So I got through 174 names in two days (with two reports each) and now I'm doing the three random ones that were assigned to me because they are due in a few days.
Hoping to get through those fairly quickly so I can focus on my assignments because I need to get two done this week to stay on track.
At least I got the bulk of my work out of the way and ahead of schedule so they can't yell at me for being late (although I'm sure they will find something else)...
@Enthenia
Good job on getting the bulk of your work done. it sounded like they handed you a pretty good mess but you got it sorted out like you usually do. Super duper! 🤩
Here's a quote you could tape up to your desk somewhere to remind you of what you have to work with sometimes, beyond your control.... plus, as a silent dig for gratification. 😁
“Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain - and most fools do.” Benjamin Franklin
@IsayUncle I learned two years ago that things aren't fair and I don't have a leg to stand on to contest anything. And with favoritism big time here (even though they say it isn't), I try to minimize confrontations.
At least today I can leave my desk when I feel like it (actually supposed to move about more but then the work doesn't get done and that's all that matters).
Got a paragraph down! Trying to juggle reading articles and putting down relevant points (with citations) into the paper.
Got the three random tasks out of the way. Still have three monthly ones to do (those aren't due until next week) and the daily assignments (I have until the end of the month for those) but now I'm working on the assignment for school.
@Enthenia
that sounds good.... keep plugging away, little bits and big bits! 😀
@IsayUncle I got the assignment submitted (was three days early so I'm not behind!) Looked at the grade for the last assignment. It was perfect, once I submitted it correctly.
So proud of you
Day 3 of week3...... I've done all the below but there is no end, they are ongoing. Earning some income tomorrow will be a result of all the work i've done these past 3 days. Fingers crossed for the rest of the week. 😀
1 keep core balance chores up to date
2. do physical therapies daily
3. service heavy equipment.
4. do something to promote income.
5. Install temporary & permanent power outlets outdoors
