i simply manage my anger issues by taking a breather. I was diagnosed with MDD several years ago and one of the symptoms of MDD is irritability. I used to flip on others for no reason at all. it only dawned on me when I got better and realised what I was doing, now I find ways to ensure that I don't flip out on others, like, whenever I'm irritated I remove myself from the situation that's causing me to feel irritated, i pause for a minute and focus on my breathing, and or, I listen to music while trying to keep myself calm. I don't text or talk to anyone while irritated and trying to stay calm, I take this moment for myself to feel like myself again. hope this helps.

sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling like yourself lately, wishing you the very best 🫂💜

@maishabilkis Do exercises, or just any activity that drains your energy of stress / anger / hate.

It can be a phisical activity, but also mental like board games, or reading or learning things.

Its a subjective topic, because everyone finds themself in different situations. But what works for me is going out for a walk or sitting alone in a separate room, until my nerves cool down🙂

Im jk, what always works for me is blasting music and just blocking out everything. Hop on the teledevice and blast songs and play games or read.

Distract yourself! Music, games, playing with your pets (if you have any), take a nap, put cold water on your face, etc. Distracting your brain from those emotions may cause them to leave faster.

Venting could help too, write it out in a journal or online.

When I used to get stressed, I walk away upstairs and do some house work. Or read up on some thing, and reset myself. I have learned over many years. To take myself out of the situation . Play music ect.. until I come back to me

first thing is to step away for a bit if you can. then try and identify what is making you angry. did someone say something? are you overstimulated? do you just suddenly feel angry? with that, eventually find what is making it worse. is this person's voice getting on your nerves? are your socks itchy? are you dehydrated or hungry?

i find distraction works best for me: specifically scary games or other things with lots of jumpscares as it's a quick and fun way to get me back into, and keep me in, my body.

sometimes just gentle, objective awareness is enough.

@maishabilkis Managing anger can be challenging, but there are various strategies you can try to help control and reduce it. Here are some tips and tricks:

1. **Recognize Triggers:**
Identify the situations or events that trigger your anger. Understanding the root causes can help you address them more effectively.

2. **Take a Break:**
When you feel anger rising, step away from the situation. Take a short break to calm down before addressing the issue.

3. **Practice Deep Breathing:**
Deep breathing exercises can help calm your nervous system. Inhale deeply, hold for a few seconds, and exhale slowly. Repeat several times.

4. **Exercise Regularly:**
Physical activity is a great way to release built-up tension and stress. Regular exercise can contribute to better mood regulation.

5. **Use Relaxation Techniques:**
Explore relaxation techniques such as meditation, yoga, or progressive muscle relaxation. These practices can promote a sense of calm.

6. **Express Yourself:**
Find healthy ways to express your feelings. Talk to a friend, family member, or therapist about what's bothering you.

7. **Journaling:**
Write down your thoughts and feelings in a journal. This can provide a constructive outlet for expressing and reflecting on your emotions.

8. **Develop Healthy Outlets:**
Engage in activities you enjoy, whether it's a hobby, reading, or spending time in nature. Having positive outlets can reduce stress.

9. **Set Realistic Expectations:**
Be realistic about what you can control. Accept that not everything will go as planned, and learn to adapt to unexpected situations.

10. **Seek Professional Help:**
If anger issues persist and significantly impact your daily life, consider seeking guidance from a mental health professional. They can provide tailored strategies and support.

Remember, managing anger is a skill that takes practice. Experiment with different techniques to find what works best for you, and don't hesitate to seek professional assistance if needed.

breathe!! Look up Ujjayi breath (ocean breath) on YouTube. Step back and take 10 long deep ocean breaths counting in for 4 and out for 4

additionally, try to reframe the situation that you are experiencing as a gift and an opportunity to develop your skills in controlling your anger. This shifts the frame from negative and reactive to positive and proactive

@WayJay

you can also find a physical expression for your anger. Go for a run, take a boxing class, dance. A lot of the time anger just needs to be channeled into a healthy expression and movement is a GREAT way of doing that

My anger was mostly directed at myself. When I decided to be forgiving, gentler, kinder to myself, my anger faded out. Soon I became a new person almost. Grateful. You have to make an
