Mindful March
I came across to this really nice thing and feel that together we can practice these simple, sweet and really rewarding things this March.
For each day of month, there will be one simple, little thing to do. You can do them in your own convenience and share your experience with us in this thread e.g. you can share how you felt, what you encountered, share a pic if you like etc.
I will be posting the tasks for each week on the first day of that week throughout this Mindful March. (Source)
Week 1 (March 1- March 7)
Day 1: Start today by appreciating that you are alive and have a body.
Day 2: When someone is speaking, take a full breath before you reply.
Day 3: Stay fully present while drinking your cup of tea or coffee.
Day 4: Go nature spotting today. Even in a city, life is all around.
Day 5: Eat mindfully. Appreciate the taste, texture and smell of your food.
Day 6: Feel the cool of a breeze or the warmth of the sun on your face.
Day 7: Look around and spot 3 things you find unusual or pleasant.

What a wonderful idea is this!
I did some meditating today, and because of the subject of day one, I extended on something I did in a yoga class not that long ago. It was about appreciating your body and what it could do for you. What a wonderful gift it is.
What I realized today was that without my body, I couldn't even do the simplest things. How can I go outside if my legs don't work? How can I write, if my hands don't work? How can I speak, if my mouth doesn't work? There are so many people whose bodies aren't completely functional, and I am so grateful that mine is. That I can grab my bike, put some music on, and can bring myself wherever I please. My body helps me to be free. And That is sometihing to be treasured

@SunFern Thank you! :) I used all of the tips, but my absolute favorite was to look around at nature. Looking around at the mountains and/or forests while commuting made me feel really at peace and one with Earth lately. :)

I love that too! I sometimes pay close attention to the way this cat purrs and it really helps me feel mindful and blessed by all of earth's creatures!

Day 8:Appreciate your hands and all the things they enable you to do.
Day 9: Stop to just watch the sky or clouds for ten minutes today.
Day 10: Listen to a piece of music without doing anything else.
Day 11: No plans day. Slow down and let spontaneity take over.
Day 12: Cultivate a feeling of loving-kindness towards others today.
Day 13: Stop, breathe and just notice.Repeat regularly during the day.
Day 14: Enjoy doing any chores or tasks more mindfully today.

Feeling better then I was. We started neurofeedback up again yesterday and he thinks after 4 months I might be able to drive again.
@SunFern Mindfulness helps me not react to the inner struggles and the war of thoughts going on inside. Mindfulness is like going to an inner room that is insulated from sounds on the outside. It is like my secret tunnel to get away from this crazy world we live in.

SunFern, thanks for this lovely post, I really like the animation, just shaking off some of the weight which pushes us down and then we can smile again. That is exactly what mindfulness does to me, it helps to reset my mind, calms me and makes me connect to my heart so that i can love myself and others. with love in mind everything becomes easier.

Day 16: If you find yourself rushing, make an effort to slow down.
Day 17: Have a device-free day and enjoy the space it offers.
Day 18: Do something creative that absorbs your attention.
Day 19: Listen deeply to someone and really notice their face and hands.
Day 20: International Day of Happiness! Focus on what makes you happy.
