Welcome back, crew! We've discussed leading yourself and others. Let's talk about leading ÃÂ within the community!
A car is a ÃÂ system that has different levels of components. Each component is a system in itself like engine, accelerator, gears, clutch, tires, seats, front deck, mirrors, and so on. Each of these components is also a system too. But when they are integrated into one big system, it comprises the bigger picture as a car which facilitates movement from one place to another. ÃÂ
Similarly, 7Cups is a system. A system of small systems that have their own defined set of goals but contributing towards a bigger goal (community goal).
When you are a lead of a project, you are not just leading your own project but also within the community as well. Examples: Verified Listener Program, Active Listening Tests, Listener Coaching, Quality Mentor, Listener Support Chat Rooms, and so on are individual projects that contribute to supporting a user to become a better listener to support the member they listen to and the community at large. Everyone is functioning as an integral part of the system. ÃÂ
To ensure the smooth operation of your system and the whole system, you need to collaborate with other community and project leaders to problem solve and be well synced. ÃÂ
Everything is interlinked and interconnected. You are part of the community and leading within the community. And, when everyone collectively gathers together to achieve one purpose, we are cultivating a sense of community solidarity.
Exercise:
1. ÃÂ Give an example of how you are part of this community and how are you contributing as an individual, as a team, and within the community. ÃÂ
2. Please reply to 3 of your peers in the thread!
After fulfilling the requirements of this post, please proceed to the end of Course 4!ÃÂ

I am an active verified listener on this site, a large inclusive kind community. As an individual, I contribute by taking chats from members and listening to them without any judgment, with full empathy and to the best of my ability. As a team, I provide support to my fellow listeners as a peer supporter, forum supporter, and a community mentor. Within the community, I host sharing circles and am an active member of the Safety Patrol Team to keep the site safe. I wish to contribute as much as I can to the best of my ability.
@VerseArt
Your contribution to 7 Cups is indeed immense Thanks, Verse
@VerseArt Thank you for being a verified listener and giving your time to members who are seeking support!
@VerseArt
Have you thought about going into the path of Safety Patrol Outreach Team?
@VerseArt
You helped me find clarity to my own answer! Thanks! All the best :)
Hello @peacefulWarrior10
I'm glad you found clarity. Good luck :)

1. Give an example of how you are part of this community and how are you contributing as an individual, as a team, and within the community.
Currently, I am a verified active listener. As an individual, I am contributing through taking up 1:1 member chat. Within the community, I have contributed by answering some questions. In the past, I tried to increase awareness about 7 Cups by creating a twitter handle (@7cupsoftea54) and by tweeting short introduction of 7 cups along with my 7 Cups referral code while including trending hashtags (to gain visibility). Right now, I am not holding any leadership position at 7 Cups. I intend to apply for the leadership position after completing the coursework for the course 5.
@shiningSound31
Somewhere I am getting this feeling that perhaps I was not right creating that twitter handle. If senior leaders at 7 cups feels, I would delete it. Please, if possible, let me know your honest opinion.

- I think that every member and every listener is an important part of our 7 cups community and we together make this site safe and welcoming by our activity. As an individual, I am contributing to talking to members and helping new listeners on the path and answering the questions they have. As a member of the Around the World team, we are regularly working on fun and bonding activities for members. Within the community, I have the role of CML and together with my fellow listeners, we are ensuring that everything is well organized, that the team is collaborating, and that members get the support they need. We are striving to create a supportive environment for everyone to share their experience and to feel welcomed.
@MoonlightHelper1

🌸 As an individual, I provide support to members through 1-1 chats and also support my mentees by conducting mock chats, providing resources, etc so that they can gain the confidence to become great listeners.
As a team, I am part of the Listener Coaching Team. Here, we help provide short term coaching to listeners who would benefit from it. And as Misty mentioned, we have a wonderful Care Requests project going on which too ensures that listeners feel supported and encouraged.
Within the community, I am an active member of the safety patrol team and keep myself updated with the changes going on
@ahealingEndoftherainbow22 Thank you for being part of the Listener Coaching Team! I feel sad when members feel that they got a "bad" listener, so your job is helping resolve that issue!
