If you don't have the book, then you can download it for free on Amazon here. If you do not have access to Amazon please download it here. Once done reading, post here to earn the soul searcher  badge.

In this thread, please answer the following questions:

1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?

2. What was  most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora (Chapter 1)?  Â

3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?

The ‘we believe in you’ bit really stood out to me. It reminded me of the importance of how we shall eventually overcome all challenges life throws at us.

The most important lesson I learnt was to just ask for help when I need it. Things can get overwhelming and it’s perfectly ok to reach out for help. It also taught me the importance of helping others and the community as a whole.

Asking for help is truly a strength as it involves you realising when things are getting too much for you to handle alone. I believe we can learn this by just asking ourselves if my friend/family member was in such a situation would I not want to help them? This takes away some of the fear and reluctance and helps us realise the importance of seeking help.

3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?

A: In the story oof Ancora, it highlited that "faceing fear and pain with the help of others created resilience. Trust, hope and love are very important in each persons's life. The one thing we can do before we help others, is that we are honest to ourselves about our situation, and seek help first, then we can help others.

1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?

I like the way the book starts, I just feel it's so warm, 3. Personal growth is not a straight line was my favourite part.

2. What was the most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora

I would say being open? closing yourself in that enviroment ( in any environment really) does no good

3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?

By letting them know that we're a safe space and we won't judge them!

1. The thing that stood out to me is the fact that life is challenging and that’s okay. We should accept these challenges because for no one life is crystal clear. It was also written that let it be a fresh start which seemed wonderful in itself.

2. What was the most important lesson you learnt from the story of Ancora?

The most important lesson I learnt is to accept my problems because asking for help isn’t bad, it could in fact make our lives much better and help us to grow.

3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?

Perhaps when people are afraid to ask for help, be it because of shame, fear, or various other reasons, we should try to help them relax and make them believe that they could vent whatever is troubling them and ask for help. Its not a sign of weakness, but perhaps it might work for them What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?

. It is a strength we need to develop because we cannot inculcate the idea of helping others until we ourselves ask for help and this could lessen the pain of the other person, and thus help them grow.

What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?

I would definitely say the welcoming, it felt warm and made me feel understood. The introduction laid out a couple of important traits like belief, judgement and growth. These are extremely critical in one’s phases of life which caters to character development. It was neatly laid out and made it more interesting.

What was the most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora (Chapter 1)?

Life is hard and it is definitely challenging but it nurtures us to receive help and give back to those who need help. Problems can’t be erased away instantly and not by oneself. We will have to tend to others for help and at the same time provide help to those in need.

How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?

I personally believe that spreading the message or creating awareness on the process of asking help and receiving help and the benefits that it carries allows a wider range of people to learn the benefits and at the same time it educates us as well.

1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?

The introduction explained tom e how we are as humans. It made me know those who wrote the book care when it is hard to ask for help because sometimes I feel terrible asking for help or for someone to listen to my concerns about something.

2. What was  most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora (Chapter 1)?  Â

I learned that ometimes asking for help is a way of life. We may not be able to do things ourselves and asking for help is not a crime. sometimes others ask for help and as a human we do help others to show their not alone in our world.

3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?

Asking for help sometimes makes those who need it and are giving help bond together to know We are human and sometimes asking for help is a way in life.

1. The 7 cups of tea by Lu tong is really very amazing! Believing in others and not judging them here so that they can have a safe place here to let out their feelings is something that stood out for me. 2. I learnt that it's important sometimes to ask for help. That is it important to realise the need and the fact that you need help. And then seek it. It's a very important lesson that everyone, in this world, learns the importance of it. A very important lesson. 3. I belive that we can learn and help others get comfortable with the idea of asking for help. You need to always take the first step. Looking at you, others will get the strength and courage of seeking help. It's okay to ask for help. Everyone in their life needs help at tough times. Helping them take the first step, listening to them, being there for them will make them more comfortable and will encourage them to seek help at times of need.

1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?
The thing that stood out to me the most was the fact that personal growth is not easy – it is always challenging and that is how it is for all of us as human beings. Our journey in life is never straight and it’s okay if we stumble or get lost or even take detours, so long as we get back on the path and keep moving forward.

2. What was the most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora (Chapter 1)?
The most important lesson I learned was that avoiding our fears will only create more fear, and it is only when we are able to face our fears and pains by seeking help from others, that we will be able to heal ourselves.

3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?
In order for us to learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help (or experiencing need) is a strength or a skill – we must first normalize it. We have to let others know that it’s natural to feel the way they feel and that it’s very normal to ask or need help because ultimately, we are all social creatures and we thrive and flourish the most in life, when we are able to rely on each other.
