...See more Hello my lovelies, wishing you all a “Fantabulous Friday”. A hearty congratulations for completing another week :) This Friday is indeed a special one as it's the last Friday of the month marking our transition into the month of July. July is a unique month dedicated to freedom, independence and celebrations. July is the mid month of the year, and we hope that this month will mark beautiful, exciting, wonderful moments and memories for all of you :) Interesting fact about July : July 5 is the time of aphelion [https://www.almanac.com/content/what-aphelion-and-perihelion], when Earth is the farthest it will get from the Sun for the entire year—specifically, we’ll be 94,510,886 miles away from our bright star! Let's begin the check in with one of my favorite structures:) A short story A well-respected speaker began a seminar by showing an audience of 150 people a crisp $20 bill. He asked, “Who wants this $20 bill?” All 150 people nodded. He said, “I am going to give this money to someone, but first….” Then he proceeded to crumple the bill up. He asked the crowd again if anyone wanted it. All 150 hands went up in the air. The speaker then dropped the money on the floor and stomped all over it. He then raised it in the air to show the crowd. The money was filthy.“Does anyone want it now? Every hand went up.The speaker proceeded to tell the crowd that no matter what he did to ruin the money, people still wanted it because its value remained the same. It was still worth $20. Life often beats us up to the point where we feel inadequate. We deal with bad circumstances and make bad choices that we have to deal with later. However, no matter what you go through, your value will remain the same. You have something special to offer that no one can take away from you. So, don't put yourself down for no one, each and everyone of us is special with a unique gift. We should be proud of every inch of us. Lets all remember that we are “ENOUGH” Let's end this check in with reflective response questions, please be free to respond to these questions. How was your week ? What do you think is unique about you ? What is your way of congratulating someone ? ...See more Hello Lovelies, wishing you all a fabulous Friday Firstly I would like to congratulate each and everyone of you for successfully completing another week. Each day presents us with numerous opportunities and I hope all of us will strive to make the best of the gifts we are presented each day. With that being said, I would like to begin the check in on a brief discussion on the importance of time management. “A common saying we have all heard growing up is that "time and tide does not wait for anybody", which means that time does not wait for anybody, everyone should walk along over time. The life of a human is impeccably divided into patterns of time. The hours, days, months, and years are so beautifully arranged, that it motivates human beings to further organize their routine in a positive manner. This brings into the picture the concept of time management, which should be a part of every individual's life. Here I have arranged a list of tips that we can all put in place to sway the concept of time management * Set/Know your time check : Knowing very well the tasks that are to be completed within a day and a clear understanding of their intensities and duration and arranging them according to your personal efficacy for an efficient day ;) * Having a TO-DO List: This is by far, one of the greatest tips that really helped me in planning out my day(since I am a super forgetful person, who forgets what is to be done). With all the tasks written down for the day and setting reminders through a phone, laptop or the classic list on the fridge will help you to complete all your tasks and save more time. * Plan ahead : Planning ahead is a critical part of time management. Ideally, we should plan ahead for the week or at least the day before. When we know exactly what needs to get done for the day or week, we will stay organised and focused. * Avoid Perfection: Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good, as they say. Avoid over analyzing everything you do. That doesn't mean be careless, however. Do your best – always. But perfection can drag you down, so don't think about it. Once you've finished a task and given it your best, you have to move on :) Hope these pointers will really help all of us in being efficient with a pinch of silliness being entertained as well :) With that being said, let's end this check in with a couple of reflective response question and do note that you're free to respond to these questions How are you feeling today and how has the week been ? How do you prioritize your tasks ? How do you limit distractions? ...See more Hello lovelies, Happy Friday I would like to begin this wonderful day with a beautiful story. Once, there was an older man, who was broke, living in a tiny house and owned a beat up car. He was living off of $99 social security checks. At 65 years of age, he decided things had to change. So he thought about what he had to offer. His friends raved about his chicken recipe. He decided that this was his best shot at making a change. He left Kentucky and traveled to different states to try to sell his recipe. He told restaurant owners that he had a mouthwatering chicken recipe. He offered the recipe to them for free, just asking for a small percentage on the items sold. Sounds like a good deal, right? Unfortunately, not to most of the restaurants. He heard NO over 1000 times. Even after all of those rejections, he didn’t give up. He believed his chicken recipe was something special. He got rejected 1009 times before he heard his first yes. With that one success Colonel Hartland Sanders changed the way Americans eat chicken. Kentucky Fried Chicken, popularly known as KFC, was born. Never give up and always believe in yourself in spite of rejection. Let's end this beautiful week by reflecting on the happenings of the week Please feel free to answer the questions listed in the check in :) How did the week go for you ? What is something that you learnt this week ? Please do share with us, something memorable that happened this week ? Did you face any challenging moments this week and if you did how did you handle it ?
