@GlenM
1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?
Okay first I love the 7 cups of Tea by Lu Tong !!
How to face things and over come, tape in to the power of caring for others ..
7ucps Believes in people and Not Judging and Helps people realize their own personal growth..
2. What was most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora (Chapter 1)?
This was funny in the beginning and stange then just really hits home !! Closing yourself in or a family or community or whatever means you are shutting things out and causing really nothing but no cure no help nothing you are stuck and nothing is solved.. We find that opening up and finding ways to deal with things brings healing and helps so much.. really a great way of sharing how this affects everyone but yourself most of all.. A community can not be closed off we must keep the openess !Ask for help and allow help to happen.
3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?
We can become more open and honest and open for help not be shut off or shut down and believe that we know it all.. talk to people and listen to them really listen .. we can continue to grow with strengths and skills always and then we can use what we learn to help others .. we all can grow together and not feel alone or out of the loop or not feel part of a community. Nothing at all wrong with asking for help and giving help to others ...
I downloaded the book and have it saved and will be rereading it from time to time !!
Thanks Tye

1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?
Growth is tough, I already know that but it's strange how sometimes we don't see this until we read it, which is very powerful, I really liked where it talks about being on a journey and about self-acknowledgement whilst also saying that not everything is our fault, and this is just pure FACT, we can't control everything, but if we want that growth, we need to keep up the fight to freedom.
2. What was  most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora (Chapter 1)?  Â
The Ancorans where dealing with a virus, and the community thought by locking themselves in, this would protect them, ultimately, the more we try to lock ourselves away, the virus (issues in our lives) can still get to us, we are stronger together as a community just as the Ancorans realised, in the end, they were working together to make lighter whilst more powerful work.
3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?
I think this can vary between person to person, but I always approach everyone as being unable to ask for help unless I see they will, because I wouldn't feel like I'm caring if I didn't, such as sending follow up or check in messages, once someone is use to asking for help and actually asks, once they see that burden lifted, they will feel more at ease asking for help next time.
We should never struggle alone, there is usually always someone else we could approach.
1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?
I might be the only one but I really liked how the first sentence on the welcoming page said to grab yourself a cup of tea - it was really cute and I even let out a chuckle! But on a more serious note, I really liked how the introduction was direct and mentioned that some things in the book would be challenging. Along with this, the words of encouragement were super sweet!
2. What was the most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora (Chapter 1)?
Can I just say the way the story was wrapped up was absolutely perfect? I loved how it all tied into trust, hope, and love! The most important thing I took away from this story is that constantly ignoring things will not make you grow as a person. You can always choose to be alone, and although you may think it is helping you, it may really be a negative thing.
3. How can we learn that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?
When reaching out for help, you are trying to find a way to solve a problem that you aren't able to - this includes situations where you're short on time, don't know where to start or what to do etc. needing help is nothing to be ashamed of! Everyone needs it time to time :)
@softMusic9759
That s really nice of you!
@softMusic9759 glad the intro was meaningul! We wrote it to help the reader feel comfortable and for them to know that we are rooting for them :)

@GlenM
It is with the 7 cups of confidence towards people_nation. it follows from this though anyway, that the people_nation are with confidence towards the 7 cups.
it, that let us be able to be efficient towards other ones, we have to be for open one.
I think that the person who helps others helps himself. we may learn from it in the course of all talks, as we spoke as you talk to us and the kind the talk had an effect on us.
@Mankka
Nice perspective!
@Mankka
Nice insight. Mankka Hugs
@GlenM
Hello! How are you doing?
What stands out is that you believe in me, that we believe in you, and that we basically believe. It s touching.
I learned that compassion and care are the solution. That they are a life-saver, and that it makes the real difference.
We can learn that by understanding that we can grow together, and that we aren t alone. That we can be a whole, and that we can be better together.

1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?: I loved the words written by Lu Tong about 7cups
2. What was most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora (Chapter 1)? : Closing yourself off and not being open doesn't help to solve the problem. It just makes your situation worse and worsens your mental health.
3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?: Help others be open and support them when they tell you their story
@azuladragon34
Very true that closing yourself off and bottling things up does nothing to solve the problem. I think empathy is a key component in helping others open up. Being open yourself makes them feel comfortable sharing, too.
@GlenM
1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?:

It's important to confide in others, your community, friends, family, etc.
3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?
We can learn this by confiding in each other and reaching out when we need help.
@smolecho
Great points on how to learn to be more comfortable with that idea. Would you like to elaborate on how we would approach confiding in each other and reaching out.
@Aleks2
Things such as more projects, confiding in peer and chat support and recognizing when it's time for you to take a break
@GlenM
1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?
I remember the first time I read 7cups for the searching soul book it was sometime around in march 2020, i was not in the best of place - suffering from severe depression and anxiety having absolutely no support system. It was one of those days when you have lots of people around you but no one to actually call for help. I still remember reading the three main things - (1) we believe in you. [ i cant really say what that sentence actually meant for me. While i was trying to not accept the fact that I have failed to do well in my senior year and get the results that i could, someone telling me that they believee in "me" just showered me with tremendous hope that I can still pick up and make everyone proud. I suddenly felt so supported and enocuraged. It was also an eye opener to see how much impact a single sentence can make.] (2) Your life makes sense. You make sense in the larger story of your life. You made the best decisions you knew to make. (3) Personal growth is not easy.
2. What was most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora ?
The importance of love, trust, care and hope in a society. We need one another, to grow, learn and flourish.
3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?
We can start of with awareness and showing people how asking for help is not a weakness rather a sign of corage and strength and how reaching out for help is the first step towards getting better. We can also share our own experiences and let people know that they are not alone.
@GlenM
1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?
They used resources to control their fear, completing changing their culture in due time. However, pain can be managed without having to compromise on our humanity.
2. What was most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora (Chapter 1)?
Cultural humility is important is revitalizing old populations and ensuring that a balance between safety and adaptability are met.
3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?
Sometimes it is just easier to envision ourselves as someone else in order to better help ourselves, so it is a strength-based skill set.
@SynSavory
Fear definitely plays a part in how we move in certain situations. In the same instance, we could use that fear to our advantage and move our feet to seek the help we need and eventually help others the same. Great insight!
1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?:
One thing that stood out to me in the introduction was the clarity from his part. It was simple and easy to understand.
2. What was the most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora (Chapter 1)? :
Seek Help. Sometimes it might seem beneath us to ask for help or to ask for anything but there's nothing wrong in asking for help.
3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?:
"Practice makes a man perfect". So, practice asking for help. Even if it's for a small consult, ask for help. That's it.
Asking for help or experiencing a need for me is one of the best ways to get comfortable with each other. Once you have asked, you have already done one thing right. You have taken the first step. Started a conversation. Stretched your hand first. That's how communities are built. That's huge.
